Mr. Abhay Raghunath Keny,
Post Graduate in
Fluid Power and Pumping Machinery from University of
Mumbai is presently owner of Sri Shantha Pumps Goa.
He has diverse experience in teaching of Fluid Machinery
Design and has worked in Crompton Greaves Ltd.,
Mumbai. With 40 years of Experience in Consultation on
Design of Centrifugal Pumps, he is presently providing
Design Services to 30 Industries in India on Design of
Centrifugal Pumps and Electric Motors.
Dr. (Ms.) Prasanna Nambiar, Principal of Don
Bosco Institute of Technology, Mumbai, graduated in
Mechanical Engineering from VJTI. She did her Masters
in Fluid Power and Pumping Machinery and Doctorate
from University of Mumbai. After serving VJTI for 21
years and 5 years in Industries, she joined DBIT as
Professor and Head of Mechanical Engineering. Dr.
Prassana is also working as Pump Designer and Pump
Consultant and is presently connected with Mumbai
Municipal Corporation as Consultant for all their Storm
Water Pumping Stations. Her Expertise is in Fluid
Mechanics, Turbo Machines and Computational Fluid
Dynamics.
Dr. Pravin K. Verekar, has PhD from Indian
Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has 3 years industry
and 27 years academic experience. His research
interests include fluid dynamics and vibrations. He is
Assistant Professor at Don Bosco College of Engineering,
Fatorda.
Mr. Nilesh Desai is Deputy General Manager
(Maintenance) in Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd. He is a
Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Goa
Engineering College & also has a Post Graduate
Diploma in Operations Management. Having worked
for Industry for around 20 years he has expertise in
Maintenance of Fertilizer Plant including Ammonia /
Urea / Phosphatic (NPK/DAP) & Captive Power. His areas
of interest are Maintenance of High speed rotary
machinery including Steam Turbines, compressor &
Pumps.
