Update...
Greetings Brothers and Sisters
in Christ,
There have been a few
changes in the Association
since the November meeting.
Brother Curt has taken a
church out of our association.
He and his wonderful family
will be missed by many here.
So that gives me the privilege
to serve as your moderator for
the rest of the year.
The Search Team has been
very busy looking at resumes
that have been sent to us, for
the position of Director of
Missions.
We have talked to some of
these men and are seeking the
man that God wants us to have
in that position. Please keep
the Search Team in your
prayers as we go through this
process.
This is a new
experience for me. So they are
teaching me a lot.
The Administrative Team has
been very active in planning
the Annual Meeting for this
year. It sounds to me like it
will be very good.
The Rally that was planned for
February will be rescheduled
as soon as we can get things
planned. If you were asked to
do something by the Missions
Team, please hang on to it, we
will us it at the next meeting.
Keep your associational
schedules handy as there are a
lot of things taking place in the
next few months.

Scholarships...
Pleasant Dale Baptist Church is
offering scholarships totaling
$5,000 to people going on mission.
The scholarship amount given will
be determined by the amount of
the trip. You do not have to be a
member of a church within the
association to apply. Application
forms are available at the MBA
office and one can be emailed to
you by request.

Annie Armstrong Prayer & Offering
March 1-8
The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering is a special
missions offering which supports SBC missionaries
serving in North America. 100% of the offering
collected goes directly to assist field personnel in
sharing the Gospel. Prayer guides and select

Girls Day Out
March 7, Emmanuel 9am-1pm
This year our theme is “Hats Off” with Loretta
Goebel being our guest speaker. Cost is $5. A
catered lunch will be served. Breakout sessions:
Meals on the Fly, Frugal Female, DIY Spa & From
Neck to T’s. We will collect shoes for the Showman
Ministry. Please register with your WMU or

Children’s Ministry Day
March 14, Various Locations in Illinois
This one day missions event is for boys and girls in
1st-6th grade. The cost is $15 per person and

Disaster Relief Training
March 20-21, Lincoln Ave, Jacksonville
This central training will be held at Lincoln Avenue
Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Chaplaincy class
begins earlier on Friday afternoon at 1pm. New
volunteers attend the Friday evening class,
introduction to Disaster Relief 101. Then specialty
classes are on Saturday. For more info visit

Ministers’ Wives Retreat
March 20-21, IBSA, Springfield

MBA VBS Clinic
March 21, Raymond Baptist Church 9 am
This years theme is “Journey Off The Map” Isaiah
30:21! This training will provide leaders with a
Bible Study overview, sample Worship Rally
songs, see VBS Decorations and leave with
valuable information you can take back to your
church. There’s no cost to attend. Registration

Missions Celebration
March 30, Emmanuel’s Activity Center 6pm
(Due to the weather our Missions Celebration had
to be rescheduled. Please note the date change!)
Join us as we hear about the missionaries
experiences on mission. Ronny Carroll will be our
guest speaker. Dinner will be served at 6pm
followed by our celebration. Childcare will be
provided.
Cooperative Program Sunday
April 12
Through offerings from all our churches, CP
produces about $190 million for missions work
each year. Each time you give to your church, a
small portion goes through the Cooperative
Program to the mission field, starting in Illinois and
then to the whole world! To learn more about CP

MBA Rally
April 20, Raymond Baptist Church, 6 pm
Join us for our April Rally! Our emphasis:
Midwest Leadership Summit Workshop with 6
breakout sessions. Childcare will be provided.
IBSA Annual Women’s Meeting
April 24-25, Tabernacle Baptist Church, Decatur
Don’t miss this women’s event of the year! It will
be a time of spiritual renewal, training and
introduction to ministry resources and networking
opportunities. You will leave with development
ideas for local ministries and deeper awareness of
ministry partners. The business meeting will begin
Friday afternoon and the main session will kick off
Friday evening concluding mid afternoon on
Saturday. Cost is $25 which includes lunch on

We are organizing our
annual diaper collection
for Angel’s Cove.

Needed are preemie,
newborn sizes and larger
sizes up to 37 lbs.
Huggies brand carries
Little Snugglers' and
Pampers carries
Swaddlers in the
smaller sizes. They will
be used at Angel’s Cove
and at Cove Connection
(See article below).
Also, they can use wet
wipes, bottom cream,
and baby lotions.

paper for coupons. If

printable coupons for
various brands
available. If you have

Central IL Dev Officer
There is an immediate
opening for the
Central Illinois
Development Officer.
This person will be
responsible for all
fundraising and public
relations activities
within the region.
Applicants must have
experience in sales,
marketing, public
relations or a related
field. Activities would
include event planning,
public speaking and
soliciting support for
BCHFS. Must be
located or willing to
relocate to Central
Illinois. Position is full
-time with benefits.

BCHFS is seeking
Contractual Therapists
for the Southeastern
Pathways and Metro
East Counseling
Offices. Must have a
current LCSW or
LCPC.
Cove Connection
Cove Connection is a
community outreach
program of Angels’
Cove committed to
helping young moms
and dads understand the
challenges they face in
parenting and give them
support through
parenting classes, Bible
study, mentoring,
activities, and more.
They meet for 3 hours,
one night a week, with a
meal and child care
provided. Going into
their fifth year, there are
currently 25 moms, 7
dads, and 45 children
participating in the
program with 47
volunteers.

This is a 7 session
program providing the
group with knowledge
and skills necessary to
engage in healthy
relationships. In
addition, R.E.A.C.T.
strives to help prevent
interpersonal violence
by incorporating lessons
about domestic violence
and promoting
relationship safety. We
are working on
implementing this
program in 2015 in our
Association. We are
working to get the
presenter and all we need
are some committed
young people to attend the
program. If you have

this exciting training,
