Volunteers are essential in offering a variety
of services to our community members.
Utilize your talents and skills by participating

Expecting Parents
We have information ranging from prenatal
education classes and immunization clinics
to coping with parenting when you’re feeling
overwhelmed.
PRE/POSTNATAL
The Pre/Postnatal Nutrition program is open
to all women in the Renfrew County area
who are pregnant. Pre-registration and
intake process is required, prior to joining
this program.
Parents of children ages birth to six years of
age can take advantage of our occasional
licensed Child Care Service for a low hourly
fee. Pre-registration is required. Fee
subsidies may be available. For rate
information please contact the service as
these may vary annually.

The Parent/Child Drop-In Program offers
parents, grandparents, and caregivers of

informal group setting allows for child

place to come on occasional evenings and
Saturday morning for some family fun. “Dad
approved” activities include games, special

Lil' Troopers Day Care North Side
Lil’ Troopers Day Care is a licensed, Centrebased day care for children from the ages of
eighteen months to five years. We provide

PMFRC under the Day Nurseries Act and

Private Home Day Care (PHDC)
PMFRC’s Private Home Day Care (PHDC)
is a licensed community-based child care
program designed to match suitable
caregivers with children in need of full or
partial daily care. We serve the area from
Deep River to Petawawa. If you are in need
of permanent daytime child care or are
interested in becoming a caregiver, please

Emergency Child Care (ECC)
Our Emergency Child Care Service is there
to provide quality child care in emergency
situations. Our Coordinator can also help
you fill out an Emergency Child Care Plan
so that you can be prepared in times of

If a situation arises that is not considered an
emergency but child care is seen to be
essential for the family’s continued health
and wellbeing, a period of respite child care
may be available to Canadian Forces
families.

High/Scope Curriculum approach, which
means that we provide hands-on learning.

help families manage the day-to-day
challenges of the military lifestyle. We
