Fr. John Seddon:
The attendance at Fr. John’s Funeral in the Cathedral was an inspiring and moving sign
of people’s love for him. A big thank you to everyone who has supported the parish with
their prayers, helped in the organisation of the Mass and contributed in different ways to
what had to be done in preparation. We will be having a Mass for Fr. John at Ss Peter &
Pauls on Saturday 28th March at 11.00am.

Accepting the Pope's invitation: We are all asked to contribute our thoughts about matters
relating to the family so that the Synod on the family can reflect on the reality of family
life.
Workshops: There will be three, beginning on Monday 16th March, 6:30 - 7:30pm at
St. Helens. This allows for groups to express their views.
Questionnaire: these are detailed and will take about an hour to fill in.
They will be available to take from church next week.

EASTER CARDS TO THE HOLY LAND, 2015
Your Justice & Peace Group will shortly be inviting you to send a card (or maybe more than one) to a
Christian parish in the Holy Land. You may well be aware of the growing pressure Christians in the
area are under, and our support means a great deal to them; some parishes have displayed the cards in
their churches. We are launching this a little earlier this year so that they should arrive in good time
for Easter, but as usual we ask you to return them to church so that they can be sent to the Latin
Patriarch in Jerusalem for redistribution. Please take a copy of the Arabic greeting to include in your
envelope and include your contact details if you'd like to. There will be a box at the back of church for
the cards. (if you want to leave a small contribution towards the postage, that would be welcome too.)
Thank you.
