LECTURER, DEPARTMENT OF CLINICAL STUDIES- 1 POST- AC/3/110/15- ( CAVS)
Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree in Wildlife Management & Conservation from a
recognized university. Applicants who possess a Masters degree in the relevant area of specialization
and have at least three (3) years teaching experience at University level and are registered for a PhD
degree in the relevant area will also be considered. They should have research experience, with at
least two (2) publications in refereed journals or two chapters in scholarly books. They should show
evidence of continuing research activity.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise at both undergraduate and
postgraduate students in Wildlife Management & Conservation and related disciplines and undertake
further research in their areas of specialization and also participate in Department’s activities.
PART- TIME LECTURER, DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY -1 POST-AC/3/111/15(CAVS)
Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree in any of the specialized area in Psychology especially
Educational, Forensic , Industrial & Organizational, Environmental, Counseling Psychology from a
recognized university. Applicants who possess a Masters degree in the relevant area of specialization
and have at least three (3) years teaching experience at University level and are registered for a PhD
degree in the relevant area will also be considered. They should have research experience, with at
least two (2) publications in refereed journals or two chapters in scholarly books. They should show
evidence of continuing research activity.

Applicants should be holders of at least a good Bsc degree in Wildlife Management and
Conservation or relevant discipline from a recognized university. In addition, they must be holders
of a Masters degree in Wildlife Management, Conservation Biology, Ecology, Wetlands
Management, Aquatic and Marine Sciences. They are expected to have registered for a PhD degree
in Wildlife Management and Conservation.

complete PhD degree in Wildlife Management and Conservation.
TUTORIAL FELLOW, DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY- 1 POST- AC/3/113/15
- ( CBPS)
Applicants should be holders of a Masters degree in Meteorology or related field. They are expected
to have registered for a PhD degree in relevant area.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate students, conduct research in the
following areas Agricultural Meteorology ( Agrometeorology) dynamic Processes & Weather
Prediction, Physical & Environmental Meteorology, Remote Sensing & Satellite Meteorology ad
geographical Information Systems and complete PhD degree in their areas of specialization.
DEPUTY MANAGER(ASSOCIATE PROFESOR LEVEL), MAINTENANCECONSTRUCTION & MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT- 1 POST- AC/2/114/15 ( R&T)
Applicants should be holders of a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture,
Building Economics( Quantity Surveying), Land Economics, Civil/Structural Engineering, Electrical
or Mechanical Engineering. They must also be in possession of a Masters Degree in Property or
Construction Management and be Members of a relevant professional body and in good standing.
They must be computer literate, have good contract administration skills , good planning and
organizational skills and have good knowledge of environmental and building regulatory laws. They
must have at least twelve years proven and relevant experience in facilities management or project
management.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the following: Ensure provision of cost effective maintenance services to the premises and utilities in all the
University of Nairobi facilities.
 Ensure that all premises are suitable and conducive for occupation in terms of maintenance
conditions, cleanliness and safety.
 Ensure professional administration of all facilities maintenance contracts
 Ensure a healthy working environment in accordance with relevant industry and legislative
requirements for persons occupying University of Nairobi Premises.
 Develop and implement a planned maintenance program with monitoring, reporting defect,
cause, effect and corrective action for all facilities.
 Ensure suitably qualified/experienced/competent staff at all levels with appropriate skills are
recruited/retained and developed.
 Ensure that all emergency and unplanned maintenance call are attended in record shortest
time and cost effective manner.
 Ensure conformity with all regulatory requirements, organization standards and local
procedures as well as requirements of the university customers.

Ensure that regular inspections of the state of repair of facilities is conducted, all noncompliances reported and closed within the time frame provided, with the root causes and
areas of failure identified.
Maintain inventory of all university physical facilities.

ASSISTANT PROCUREMENT OFFICER GRADE CD, PROCUREMENT DIVISION

Applicants must be holders of at least a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Marketing, Supplies option
or Business Administration), Bachelor of Supplies Management or Bachelor of Arts in Economics
from a recognized university. Applicants with an MBA will also be considered. In both cases, those
with a CIPS level 4 will have an added advantage. They must be computer literate. Reports from two
referees are a requirement.
Please note that the appointment is on a one year contract term renewable on mutual
agreement.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT GRADE CD, DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY &
SOCIAL WORK- 1 POST – AD/3/116/15- (CHSS)
Applicants should be holders of a Bachelor’s (at least lower 2nd class Hons.) degree from a
recognized university . They must be Computer literate. The successful candidate will be expected
to service university committees among other duties.

agreement.
TECHNOLOGIST (ELECTRONICS/ICT) GRADE ABC, SCHOOL OF BIOLOGICAL
SCIENCES- 1 POST -AD/3/117/15- (CBPS).
Applicants should be holders of at least a KCSE Mean Grade C with credits in relevant science
subjects and an Ordinary Diploma in ICT plus 3 years relevant experience. Knowledge of Electronic
Engineering to diagnose laboratory equipment and sort out simple problems will be an added
advantage.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage and administer the School’s website, maintain
all software, design and set up a program to capture and migrate published research work form the
School among other duties specified by the School’s Director.
RADIOGRAPHER (SONOGRAPHER) GRADE ABC, DEPARTMENT OF CLINCAL
STUDIES- 1 POST -AD/3/118/15- (CAVS).
Applicants should be holders of at least a KCSE Mean Grade C with credits in relevant science
subjects and a Diploma in Medical Imaging plus 3 years relevant experience in a busy diagnostic
imaging facility. Possession of a Higher Diploma in Ultrasonography will be an added advantage.
They must be registered by the Radiation Protection Board of Kenya and belong to a relevant
professional association.. Knowledge of Electronic Engineering to diagnose laboratory equipment
and sort out simple problems will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate will be expected to to perform veterinary diagnostic imaging services for
client owned animal patients. They will also be expected to organizes and assist in conducting
research projects and practicals for undergraduate and postgraduate veterinary medical students.
They must be prepared to work outside normal working hours.
ASSISTANT SECRETARY GRADE A, SCHOOL OF DENTAL SCIENCES- 1 POSTAD/3/119/15- (CHS)
Applicants should be holders of a KCSE Grade C or KCE Div. III or its equivalent qualification
with a Credit in English language. In addition they must have passed the following subjects offered
by the Kenya National Examinations Council or equivalent examining body:Business English II
Commerce II
Secretarial Duties II
Office Management III
Shorthand 80 wpm or Audio Typing III
Typewriting 50 wpm
They must be computer literate.
DRIVER GRADE IV, DEAN’S OFFICE, FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE- 1 POSTAD/3/120/15- (CAVS)
Applicants must have at least KCSE level of education or equivalent, a clean valid driving license
classes ABCE and PSV and passed in Occupational Test Grade II, have a certificate in First Aid
and a clean record of service and at least three (3) years’ experience at Grade III.

RECORDS CLERK GRADE IV, SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING-1 POST- AD/3/121/15(CAE)
Applicants should be holders of at least a KCSE C or equivalent with credits in English and
Mathematics or equivalent. They must have at least three (3) years experience as Clerk Grade III
and must have shown merit and ability in work performance and results.
