FACTORY HINGE HEAVY-DUTY HINGE INSTALLING YOUR HEAVY-DUTY JK WRANGLER TAILGATE HINGE 1. Remove both plastic covers from each factory hinge. 2. Remove hardware from existing top hinge and remove hinge. 3. Replace with new hinge and hardware provided – use small amount of anti-seize on bolts when installing them to allow for easy installation. 4. Use serrated lock washers with bolts for attaching hinge to tailgate. 5. Repeat process with bottom hinge. NOTE: The hinge includes a grease zerk, we recommend greasing the hinges on initial installation and thereafter greasing the hinges whenever the chassis or other body mounts are greased.
