ABOUT NJTL TENNIS
SUMMER CAMPS
Tennis Memphis is a 501(c) 3 non profit, which provides
low cost, high quality summer camp programs serving
over 2,000 children at 20+ sites. These sites encompass
tennis centers, community centers, and schools throughout
Memphis. As a National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL)
chapter, Tennis Memphis is committed to mentorship and
instilling the importance of education and tennis as a lifetime
sport. Our NJTL Tennis Summer Camps emphasize the
ideals of NJTL co-founder Arthur Ashe.
Mission
Tennis Memphis’ mission “to unleash tennis and
raise the profile of the sport through our passion,
programming, facilities and care for the welfare of our
citizens and city” indicates our commitment to removing
the socioeconomic barriers to tennis. The camps
provide quality instruction throughout all Memphis
neighborhoods, suburban and urban areas.

CAMP OVERVIEW
The 2015 NJTL Tennis Summer Camps are packed
with instruction, drills, games, individual and team
competition, and FUN! Campers learn tennis
fundamentals, scoring, rules, and sportsmanship.
For ages 5-12, the camp incorporates the USTA
developmental pathway for junior tennis, including
equipment and/or courts that are sized appropriately
for juniors. Juniors ages 13-18 receive a dynamic
instruction program utilizing standard courts and
equipment. Maximum 8 to 1 student to instructor ratio.

WEATHER POLICY
NJTL Summer Camp is a weather-dependent camp.
In case of inclement weather, parents will be notified
by 7:00 AM the morning of camp if camp will be held
that day. Camp closings will be made on a site-bysite basis. If inclement weather develops during camp
hours, parents will be notified and staff will be on site
to remain with campers as they are picked up.

I, the undersigned parent/guardian, hereby consent for my child to participate in the 2015 NJTL Tennis Summer Camps. In consideration of participation in the program, I hereby indemnify and hold harmless the City of Memphis, Tennis Memphis, MPTC and any sponsors of the program and it’s
respective employees, staff, board members, officers, agents, successors. I release the same from any and all liability for any injury or illness which
may be suffered by my child arising out of or in any way connected with the summer programs. I assume the risk for such injury or illness. I, the
undersigned, have read this release and understand all of it’s terms and hereby execute it voluntarily with all knowledge and understanding of it’s
