*YEAR GROUP ASSEMBLIES – Wednesday-S4, Thursday-S5/6. Dr Vance
BASKETBALL- S1-6 Girls - TODAY 3.20 - 4.30pm. This will be the last training session of the session.
We will be playing games and will hopefully have a S1,U14 ,U15 and Senior in each team. Good turnout
please and any new players welcome. Mrs MacLean
CAR PARK - It has been reported that some pupils are interfering with cars parked on the tennis courts.
If anyone has any information regarding this please let any member of staff know. Mr Johnstone
KEYS – Keys found with a definite Australian theme – please call at office to claim.
SNOWSPORTS TRIP 2016 – If Elle Fraser’s short video from this year’s trip
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CuP64o0uYE) has whetted your appetite to try skiing/boarding or
perhaps you’d like to brush up on your technique having been before, you may like to know that a trip is
being organised to Italy in February 2016 and there will be a meeting for any interested pupils

PUPIL COUNCIL - There will be a meeting of the Pupil Council TOMORROW at 1pm in Room 2. Feel
free to bring your lunch. Please see me if you cannot attend. The names of the Council are listed below.

S4-6 CONSTRUCTION CAREERS - If you are of school leaving age and keen to start a career in
construction, please complete an online application form at www.bconstructive.co.uk. Through the
organisation CITB, you will then be made aware of apprenticeships being advertised in the industry. CITB
would like to interview you on 31st March in the afternoon at school, which could lead to you gaining an
apprenticeship. If you are interested and apply online, please let me know. Mr Murphy
SQA INFORMATION - Candidates will receive their certificates by post on Tuesday 4th August and, for
those who have opted to receive their results by e-mail and/or text, these will be sent by 9am that day. Any
candidate who wishes to use our e-mail/text service must register for MySQA by 5pm on Monday 13th July,
and activate their account by 5pm on Wednesday 15th July. Further information about this service is
available at www.mysqa.info. Mr Johnstone
SPORTS COMMITTEE MEETING – There will be a sports committee meeting at 1.20pm TODAY in
Room 101 to discuss progress on the School Sport Award and setting up of the proposed after school Girls
Club. The meeting should be attended by George Beamish S6, Calum MacPherson S4, Emma Campbell S4,
Jenni Anderson S6, Carla McNeil S6 and any other S3-S5 girl interested in becoming involved in the
Fit4girls programme. Lynne Fraser, Active Schools Coordinator

U13/14 FOOTBALL - Both teams will be playing North of Scotland Cup quarter-final ties at home to
Dingwall Academy TODAY after school. It would be great to see a good home support there to cheer the
boys into the semi-finals! Mr Davis

S4 - BRIDGE TO EMPLOYMENT – There will be a meeting for all involved in this project on Friday at
1.15pm in Room 128. Mr Moonan

S5 ONLINE HIGHERS - Any pupil hoping to do an online Higher next year must complete a College
application form. Can you please collect one from your Guidance Teacher or outside my office. The
deadline for the completion of these is 1st April and they must be returned to your Guidance Teacher.

S5 INVERNESS COLLEGE CLASSROOM BASED HIGHERS - Any pupil hoping to do a Classroom
based Higher in either Childcare & Development or Care next year must complete a College application
form. Can you please collect one from your Guidance Teacher or outside my office. The deadline for the
completion of these is 1st April and they must be returned to your Guidance Teacher. Mr Murphy
S5 AND S6 CAREERS - Do you want to be a Doctor? If so there is a great opportunity to complete a one
week work experience placement at Raigmore, which is essential if you want to apply for Medicine at
University. Please see me for more details by the end of this week. Mr Murphy
