1. Six Waves to Sunday is meeting in the seminar room at lunch today. Be prompt!
2. Grad Exec meeting today at lunch in room 400.
3. All choir members please meet in the music room today at 12:30.
4. Any basketball players willing to help out with the grade 7 girls district basketball tournament at Isfeld on
Wednesday afternoon, please see Mr. Cunningham right away.
5. Isfeld Film Society meet at lunch on Wednesday in Portable 4.
6. Any students interested in being an assistant referee at this Thursday’s Junior and Senior Girls Ice Breaker
tournament are asked to sign up with Mr. Bos in the PE office today and tomorrow.
7. Senior Girls soccer practice on the field after school today, 3:45 – 5 pm.
8. There will be an introductory/information session for Anxiety Coping Group on Friday, March 20 in Student
Services at lunch! Come check it out for more information, and see if it’s something you would like!
9. The Courtenay Gem and Mineral club is looking for 4-6 volunteers on April 18 and 19 to help out with kitchen
duties, children’s activity centres and general clean up. Help is needed in four hour shifts from 9:15-1:15 and
1:00-5:00 both days. A meal will be provided for volunteers. For more information or to sign up please contact
the Work Experience Office.

RE-RUNS
1. Notice to all students: e-cigarettes are not allowed on school property. New legislation being introduced this spring will
ban the use of e-cigarettes in all public places including our school grounds and surrounding areas.
2. Applications for the Explore program have arrived; please see your counsellor for more info.
3. Boys Spring League Basketball: Please sign up with Mr. Cunningham, Mr. Hagel, or Mr. Elwood. We start right after
Spring Break.
4. Ab Ed Chief Council meeting on Thursday at lunch. Open invite to all Grade 8 Ab Ed students. Elk stew and Bannock will
be served.
5. Meeting for all participants in speech arts on Wednesday in room 201.
CAREER CENTRE/ WORK EXPERIENCE
1. The Comox Valley Curling Club is looking for volunteers to help serve lunch and clean up at the JamCan Bonspiel on
Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 for 1.5 hours each day. Please contact Mickey Colburn at 250-338-2287 for
more information.
2. St. John Ambulance is looking for 24 volunteers to act as casualty victims at the A.J. Taylor First Aid Competition on
Saturday, May 2. Volunteers will simulate fake injuries from small wounds to amputation/severe bleeding injuries. Lunch
will be provided for all volunteers. For more information please contact the Work Experience Office.

1. Reminder to grade 12 students: Bursary applications are due on Friday.
