• Writing assessment is based
on a portfolio of written work.
• Teacher assessments must be based on - and
supported by - a range of examples of
independent pieces of writing.
• Assessment is moderated across partner
schools.
• The Local Authority
will also moderate
some schools.
Timetable
School arrangements
‘SATs week’ will mostly follow
the pattern practised during the
‘mock’ week:
• SATs will take place in Yew classroom
• Children who usually sit tests elsewhere, will
continue to do so
• We’ll run a free ‘SAT Breakfast Club’ from
8.15am, Monday to Thursday.

• Wk 1 & 2 - Two weeks’ holiday…
…and a little revision.
