Eric Wiens is in palliative care at St. Paul’s Hospital. We pray for him and for
Lois, Mark and Erin this week.
Warm congratulations to Peter Dyck on the occasion of his 90th birthday.
Thank you for the awesome support we have received over the past month.
The tumor in the bladder was successfully removed on Friday, March 20. At
the beginning of May, Jake will undergo six weeks of immunotherapy which
should lead to a full recovery. Barbara & Jake Ens
We remember the family of Luella Wiens who died March 18, aunt of Merna
Ediger. The funeral was held in Drake Mennonite Church on Friday; we also
remember the family of Tina Harder, aunt of Edith & Armin Krahn, Hilda &
Cornie Patkau, Bonnie Wyse and sister-in-law of Delmar Rempel, who died
March 18. The funeral was yesterday at NPMC.
The memorial service for Ron Neufeld, son of Erna & Elmer Neufeld will be
held at Nutana Park Mennonite on April 10 at 2:00 pm.

Rachel Remen talks about the beauty and
power of prayer. At the Garden Jesus
prayed "Not my will but thine be done".
Dr. Remen says; " When we pray, we stop
trying to control our life. It is the time to
experience humility and recognize grace".
To our Lord on the cross let us just ask for
simple forgiveness and accept grace and
feel total love from our Lord.

working to educate and encourage
Christians to act faithfully and responsibly
in relation to the environment. They have
created a prayer calendar to be used
from the first day of spring to
Earth Day on April 22.

Important Message from Saskatchewan Women in Mission:
The Annual Meeting and Enrichment Day will be held on April 25th at
Waldheim Zoar Mennonite Church from 10:00 to 4:00 with guest speaker Patty
Friesen -- "Voices of Change: Navigating Life's Transitions" .
Women are needed to fill SWM executive and program committee positions.
Contact Denise Epp at 1-306-232-4801 or Marlies Patkau at 1-306-544-2716.
If there is no executive, SWM will end its ministries and activities. In that
case we would have to have a vote to discontinue as a charitable
organization. A letter is then sent to apply to the Minister of Revenue to
cancel our charitable registration. The CRA will respond to the charities request.
This is the two weeks notice we are required to give to have this vote.

MCC Connects: The unusually high number of international emergencies this
winter has put a strain on MCC's resources and ability to respond to disasters.
We are low on funds and out of relief kits, hygiene kits and blankets. For

From the Bethany Manor Benevolent Fund:
The Bethany Manor Worship Committee no longer allocates a portion of Sunday
offerings to the Benevolent Fund. Anyone wishing to donate to the Benevolent
Fund should indicate this on their offering cheque or envelope or direct their
Benevolent Fund donation through the office to the attention of Bonnie Wyse.
The Benevolent Fund supports residents in Assisted Living who have limited

From Earthkeepers: Women's Tuesday Bible Study recently
discussed Psalm 8 which includes "thou has given him dominion
over the works of thy hands". How do we understand this? Can
we sell agricultural land for housing development? Can we create
toxic tailings ponds? Can we clear-cut forests? Can we use pesticides
which kill pollinators? How do we understand stewardship?
A message from Jenae Funk and Kathleen Regier: At the end of April, we
will be embarking on a two month trip to Peru! As a part of our stay there, we will
be volunteering and teaching English at a school for children with limited
opportunity. We were hoping to enlist your help in raising funds for this largely
volunteer and donor-based school. They are currently trying to raise money to
buy a projector for the classroom and we would like to help them achieve this. If
you are interested in donating even a small amount to the cause, please talk to
either one of us by Sunday, April 12th. Thank you so much! We look forward to
sharing the smiles your generosity brings the children on our return!

building cabins for a week at Camp Elim near Swift Current, Saskatchewan

Mennonite Disaster Service continues to bring people home in High River,
Alberta. Although High River flooded in June 2013 there are still people who
have not been able to move home. Come volunteer for a week or two this

you and your friends.

1 When they were approaching
Jerusalem,
at
Bethphage
and
Bethany, near the Mount of
Olives,
he

sent two of his disciples and said to
them, ‘Go into the village ahead of
you, and immediately as you enter it,
you will find tied there a colt that has
never been ridden; untie it and bring it.

If anyone says to you, “Why are you
doing this?” just say this, “The Lord
needs it and will send it back here

immediately.” ’ They went away and
found a colt tied near a door, outside
in the street. As they were untying it,

some of the bystanders said to them,
‘What6 are you doing, untying the
colt?’ They told them what Jesus had
said;
and they allowed them to take it.

Then they brought the colt to Jesus
and threw their cloaks on it; and he sat

on it. Many people spread their
cloaks on the road, and others spread
leafy branches that they had cut in the

fields. Then those who went ahead
and those who followed were
shouting,
‘Hosanna!
Blessed is the one who comes in the
name of the Lord!
