Amending Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code
Purpose of the rule:
This rule amends the 2014 Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code (OPSC) regarding removable fixture traps.
Citation:
Amend: OAR 918-750-0115.
This rule and the code amendment become effective April 1, 2015.
Effect of the rule:
This rule corrects an inadvertent error made during the adoption of the 2014 Oregon Plumbing Specialty
Code regarding a code change proposal for removable fixture traps. This change deletes language in
OPSC Section 707.4 allowing removable fixture traps. The outcome of this change is that a proper
cleanout fitting is required to serve as the cleanout in a drainage system.

(1) The Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code is
amended pursuant to OAR chapter 918, division 8.
Amendments adopted for inclusion into the
Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code are placed in
this rule, showing the section reference, a
descriptive caption, and a short description of the
amendment.
(2) Effective April 1, 2015, Section 707.4 of
the Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code is amended
to eliminate the use of removable fixture traps.
