National Workshop on
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The importance of nanomaterials has significantly
increased as a result of rapid technological
developments during the past few years. Preparation
of nanomaterials with functionality is a key
challenge for nanomaterials development. Searching
new routes to prepare nanomaterials and
understanding the relationship between the structures
and the properties are equally important. A key
requirement in preparation of nanomaterials is to
control the structural and compositional evolution
for achieving superior properties.
In view of these developments in the field of Nano
science and technology, the Department of Physics,
National Institute of Technology, Warangal felt the
need to organize a one day national workshop on
Recent
Trends
in
Nanomaterials
and
applications. The main objective of this workshop is
to provide a platform for disseminating the different
methods of synthesis, characterization and
applications of these nanomaterials in engineering
and technology. This workshop is organized to
motivate the faculty and young researchers from
science and engineering streams towards high
quality research. Furthermore, the demonstration of
the thin film coating by thermal evaporation will be
given in order to get insight of theoretical
understanding and practical applications of
synthesized materials.
TOPICS
Synthesis, characterization and applications of –
 Nano composites
 Nano ferrites, Magnetic materials
 Thin films technology for solar cells
 Superconductivity
 Materials for Photovoltaic cells;

Glasses and Glass Ceramics for
Medical applications;
ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION CRITERIA
