easter bulletin at 9:00 & 11:00 - First Presbyterian Church, Annapolis
People of Easter’s joy, give thanks to the One who raises us to new life.
We sing our hallelujahs to the God of Everlasting Love.
Redeemer of the lost…
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full
of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is He who comes in the name
of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest, hosanna in the highest.

PRAYER OF ADORATION
Glory to you, O God: you are the creator of life,
our source of hope and the ground of our being.
Glory to you, O God: you gave the law,
inspired prophets and sent your Son so that we might know of justice and peace.
Glory to you, O God: through the resurrection of Jesus we discover life to be
abundant and eternal.
With your people through the ages and with creation itself we glorify you,
O God, our Creator, Savior and Spirit.
Amen.

RESPONSE TO THE GOOD NEWS
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH
We trust in Jesus Christ, fully human, fully God.
Jesus proclaimed the reign of God:
preaching good news to the poor and release to the captives,
teaching by word and deed and blessing the children,
healing the sick and binding up the broken hearted,
eating with outcasts, forgiving sinners,
and calling all to repent and believe the gospel.
Unjustly condemned for blasphemy and sedition,
Jesus was crucified, suffering the depths of human pain
and giving his life for the sins of the world.
God raised this Jesus from the dead,
vindicating his sinless life,
breaking the power of sin and evil,
delivering us from death to life eternal.
With believers in every time and place,
we rejoice that nothing in life or in death
can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. Amen.
