Note: Prior endorsement from partners to be obtained before submitting to PETRONAS

DO’S
Portray good reputation and image of PETRONAS and Malaysia
Pseudo/dummy names must be applied to exploration and appraisal wells as well as green fields. For green fields and
newly discovered fields that have been published officially, use the actual field and well names. As for brown fields, there
is no restriction on this matter.
Use only published map.
Wordings/Statements used must not have any sensitivity or legal impact to PETRONAS as well as the overall outlook of
the exploration and production.
Diagrams and photos appearing in all documents must be clear and in full colour (where deemed relevant by PMU)
Papers/presentations must be approved by respective HODs before requesting for further approvals.
Proofread and ensure content accuracy in structure of language and technical data that comply with PETRONAS
guidelines.
Include copyright statement for all PETRONAS and co-authored papers (refer next page)
Submit all abstracts, extended abstracts, as well as presentation package for approval before submission to event
organisers.
Always spell PETRONAS in full caps.
Group all reservoir names to group-based names, e.g. Seligi J18/70 to Seligi J-Group
Submission must be made at least 2 months before the requestor’s approval required date.

Mention of actual field/well names that are not officially published.
Mention of exact locations and coordinates of PSC/Well/Field on acreage maps etc.
Reveal of actual field and well names that are not officially published.
Reveal of any confidential information such as crude/gas/condensate production figures,
block outlines, financial outlines etc.
Mention of all well names and depth reference in maps and cross sections
Detailed process of the projects (e.g. the strategy used by PETRONAS when implementing
specific process or project)
Presentation contents that are inclined to
any third party vendors/products.
Submissions with notice less than 1 month will not be entertained.
Present non approved areas/topics.
Reveal of strategic documents and business plans.
