Prospectus
The 12th World Congress of Veterinary Anesthesiology (WCVA) will be held in Kyoto, Japan
from the 1st to 4th of September 2015 by Japanese Society of Veterinary Anesthesia and Surgery
(JSVAS) at the Kyoto International Conference Center.
WCVA is the world’s largest international meeting for veterinary anaesthesiology. The first
WCVA meeting was held in Cambridge, England in 1981. Thereafter the meeting has been held
in various countries every 3 years. This year is the first time it will be held in Asian country,
Japan.
WCVA is the only world congress where the international experts not only in
veterinary anaesthesia but also in the basic sciences gather together to have lively debate on a
variety of subjects related to anaesthesia and analgesia during the 4 day period of the congress.
At WCVA 2015, the topics of “Pain”, “Pharmacology”, “Comparative physiology”, and
“Perioperative patient management” will be discussed on the 1st to the 4th days of the meeting,
respectively.
I, as the Chairman of the organizing committee, respectfully would like to ask you to provide
financial support to the 12th WCVA meeting.

during the congress and your support will help to invite world-renowned speakers. Your
