Lovingly survived by 28 cherished nieces, nephews & many
grand nieces & grand nephews. Faithful daughter of the
late John A. & Catherine R. (Farrell) Toomey. A Funeral Mass was
held in the Immaculate Conception Church, Revere on Wednesday. “Franny” wore many hats
in her working career & social
life. She was a telephone operator for AT&T, served as an Office
Manager for Murphy Ins. of Cambridge, and briefly worked as a
Registered Manicurist. She was
a gifted crafter in the realm of
knitting, crocheting, needlework
& afghan design. She was also
a member of Ladies’ Slippers, a
group who design & create diminutive doll house furniture.
For years, she was a girlscout
leader in Concord and served
as a team mother & chaperon
for the Haydenettes Recreation
Center of Lexington (SYNCH IceSkaking Competitions). Franny’s
love for animals was legendary & for that reason, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, remembrances be made to “Kitty

Frank loved spending time with
his family, woodworking and
gardening. He retired from Polaroid after 23 yrs of employment as Lead Boiler Mechanic
for the Cambridge site. Late US
Navy WWII Veteran, served from
March of 1945 to July of 1946
and he was Fireman Second
