WORKOVER INTERVENTION ENGINEER (W050)
This position will be responsible for the following;
All engineering aspects in support of safe and efficient
execution of non-rig type workover and well interventions
operations offshore Nigeria.
It will also provide all engineering operations support for
a HWOU (Hydraulic Workover Unit).
The roles of the workover/intervention team will include all
well work within the pressure envelope, as well as rig-site
preparation.
The position will support in directing contract personnel,
managing warehouse and logistics that support the operations.
Special Consideration: Operations will be supported from
Chevron Nigeria's Escravos facilities and shorebase near the
mouth of the Escravos River. Security is well established at the
Escravos shorebase. There is significant additional activity
ongoing near Escravos with the nearing completion of the
Escravos Gas to Liquids plant.
The position will be primarily based in the Escravos Terminal in
Nigeria but may be required to be in Lagos office, Deepwater,
offshore or swamp rigs according to business needs.
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum
of Second Class Lower Division.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years relevant post-degree work
experience (includes National Youth Service) in Workover &
Completion Engineering and Operations.
DRILL SITE MANAGER - DEEPWATER (D030)
This position will be responsible for the following:
Ensure the safety of all personnel.
Supervise the execution of drilling program.
Supervise the work direction of service partners on well
location.
Sign field invoices for service partner goods and services.
Supervise and mentor less experienced personnel.
Assist in incident investigations.
Assist in after action reviews.
Assist in formulation of Plan of Action.
Represent Chevron Nigeria in all phases of the well execution.
Other duties as required.
This position can be located in Lagos office, Deepwater, offshore
or swamp rigs.
Additional Requirements:
Strong knowledge of Deepwater drilling and completion
operations.
Demonstrable leadership abilities, including but not limited to
effective communications, interpersonal and organization skills.
Ability to coordinate and provide clear direction to a multitude
of diverse service partners.
Demonstrable ability to analyze and solve complex well drilling
and completion problems.
Qualification: Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in
Engineering or Sciences with minimum of Second Class Lower
Division.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years relevant post-degree work
experience (includes National Youth Service), including 5 years
of Deepwater experience, in any combinations of the following
areas: Driller, Toolpusher, or Drilling Supervisor for a drilling
contractor.
