 Position: Clinton Fellowship Program Officer Location: New York or Bay Area Department: Clinton Fellowship Program Reports to: Chief Executive Officer and Clinton Fellowship Program Manager (India) Position Description The Program officer will manage the US Operations of the Clinton Fellowship Program and will work closely with the Clinton Fellowship Program Team. This person will be responsible for expanding awareness of AIF and the Clinton Fellowship, building alumni relationships, fundraising for the program, manage an extensive selection process in the US; work with the Young Professional Chapters to create a national framework for engagement of Young Professionals in AIF activities; work with co-­‐chairs of AIF Youth Ambassador Program (AYAP) to develop a long term vision and strategy for the program, manage the US Operations and build awareness of AYAP. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES 1. US Program Operations (William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service to India) •

Lead program recruitment, including outreach to key educational institutions, student groups, and professional associations Manage extensive selection process, consisting of application reviews throughout AIF network and interviews with staff and AIF stakeholders Contribute to and support orientation, monitoring, and training programs being led from India Create processes that are efficient, cost-­‐effective, and sustainable to streamline knowledge management and operations Expand awareness of AIF and the Clinton Fellowship by reaching out to key stakeholder groups Revitalize US-­‐based Advisory Council & Alumni Leadership Council; cultivate, manage, facilitate, and develop these councils Work with communications department to develop and maintain Fellowship program collateral, web materials, and online application process Liaise with communications department on publications, campaigns and special projects for content generation and curation. Coordinate with communications team on the development and use of streamlined technology 2. Alumni Relations •

Build and maintain a comprehensive alumni database in consultation with the communication team Facilitate active alumni network, encouraging ongoing career development opportunities and integration with Young Professionals program Identify and execute strategies to keep alumni involved with AIF in the US and India Manage Alumni Leadership Council 3. Fund Raising •

Support and collaborate with US fundraising team and Fellowship staff on ongoing and new fundraising opportunities aligned with strategic objectives of the program and organization Assist in identification, cultivation, and stewardship of individual, corporate and foundation donors for the Clinton Fellowship, in the US Write and/or assist in creation of concept papers, proposals, and program materials for fundraising opportunities 4. Young Professionals Program Management •

Work with Young Professional Chapters to create a National Council for engagement of YPs into AIF activities, with a focus on fundraising Work with existing YP Chapters to ensure that they are working in alignment with AIF objectives and procedures Identify opportunities for the strategic expansion of Young Professionals. Seek opportunities to highlight Fellowship in AIF chapters and Young Professional events around the United States, and assist in coordination of events and opportunities 5. AIF Youth Ambassador Program (AYAP) • Work closely with AYAP co-­‐chairs to set up long term vision and strategy for the program • Lead program marketing and recruitment in high schools, including working with AIF volunteers and staff members across the US. Domestic travel is a prerequisite for this function. • Work with educators in the US and India to set up and evolve the AYAP curriculum • Work with AIF staff members in India to set up logistics for the program. Travel to India with the group annually and play the role of a facilitator and chaperone • Expand awareness of AYAP by reaching out to key stakeholder groups • Provide opportunities for ambassadors to stay engaged with the program and with AIF. Steward ambassadors, and their parents to support AIF. • Work with communications department to develop and maintain AYAP program collateral, web materials, and online application process • Liaise with communications department on publications, campaigns and special projects for content generation and curation • Qualifications and Skills • Bachelor’s degree; Advanced degree preferred. • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively. • Demonstrated ability to persuade others. • Demonstrate the ability to respond with urgency to the needs and requests of others, internally and externally and ensure a high degree of responsiveness to all donors without regard to their giving level. • Ability to multi-­‐task, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision. • Strong writing, oral and presentation communication skills. • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office computer skills. • Attention to detail and strong project management skills. • Ability to work as part of a team. • Professional attitude and appearance.
