Duct tape project application

A FESTIVAL OF DUCT TAPE”
The 6th Annual “ART ON MILLIONAIRE’S ROW” Fine Arts Show sponsored by the Art on Millionaire’s Row
Committee, on behalf of the Altadena Library District will be held on October 2-3, 2015. To make this event unique to
the benefit of the Altadena Library we are asking all artists to consider creating a donated art piece which will be sold via
a Silent Auction in the Salon to benefit the Library. This is not a requirement for judging or entry to the show. However,
works that meet this criteria will be eligible for a separate award. This is your opportunity to showcase your particular
talent in a unique format.
The Art on Millionaire’s Row Committee, will give EACH PARTICIPANT 1 to 3 rolls of Duct (Duck) Tape. Put on
your “MacGiver” hat (for those of you who are too young to remember, MacGiver was that guy on TV who used to use
everyday items to solve complex problems in creative ways and was usually able to save lives and solve crimes with a
paper clip and some gum!) and hatch out a plan to incorporate the tape into an original piece of artwork! Of course
everyone has a different vision and a different set of interests, abilities and experience. As a result, there are a wide
variety of ways and methods to express yourself. We won’t try and put any restrictions on how you might think about
incorporating the Duct Tape into your art. You can supply as much additional duct tape or other materials as you may
want besides what we provide.
You decide. You create. Whatever you do it will help the Altadena Library and let people know where a little
creativity may lead them. Thank you.

ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY SEPTEMBER 1, 2015. ART PIECES SHOULD BE
DELIVERED TO THE ALTADENA LIBRARY COMMUNITY ROOM ON THURSDAY,
OCTOBER 1, 2015 BETWEEN 12:00 AND 5:00 PM
