Zoo Trip 2015
Summer Day Camp (Ages 7-21)
A local summer day camp for all kids with a primary focus on
kids with a disability. An opportunity for kids with and without
disabilities to interact and share their love of summer fun.
Swimming, movies, crafts, etc...

One on One $295.00 per week

Opportunity to make friends, swim, play
games and develop independence skills

The camp is offered weekly. You can attend
one week or all 8.5 weeks

VIP
What?
VIP is a club for individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities
who want to give back to their community, socialize and have lots of
fun.
Who?
Adults ages 18 and older with intellectual developmental disabilities
who require minimal assistance.
When?
VIP Club Members meet :
 Tuesdays and Thursdays each week.
 Time: 12:30pm-4:30pm.
Where?
VIP meets at The Arc of Tri-Cities at 1455 Fowler in Richland. The Arc
of Tri-Cities will provide transportation to members Dial A Ride eligible
living in Pasco, Kennewick, West Richland and Richland. If transportation is a challenge please call Jackie at 783-1131 ext. 130

How do you join?
Pick up a VIP registration packet at The Arc of Tri-Cities. Registration
packets and $25.00 fee per month must be received before attending.
 Payments can paid at The Arc’s front desk monthly or by mail
MONTHLY ACTIVITIES
Only VIP Club members are allowed to participate in VIP events.
 VIP Club is 2 days a week
 Members will be in a group A, B, C or D and participate in assigned
group activities– See calendar
 Each group will have a community activity and an in-house activity
every week
Need to Cancel
The Arc of Tri-Cities is asking 24 hour notice for cancelation in
order to offer a slot to someone on the waiting list.
No Show
A no show is when you do not call within 24 hours to cancel
Two (2) no shows in a three (3) month period could temporarily
suspend your membership
Activities?
Most of the activities take place in the community– see recreation calendar. Activities include: volunteering, movies, cooking classes, swim- Bring A Lunch
ming, walking, and feeding ducks, etc...
Participants are to bring lunch unless marked different on the
calendar- this will give participants a chance to socialize during lunch
Cost?
Microwave is available for use
VIP Club has a monthly fee
 $25.00 a month for members of The Arc
Transportation
 Currently the VIP Club is at full capacity. If you’re interested in par- The Arc of Tri-Cities will be providing transportation as part of the
ticipating in the VIP Club, call 783-1131 x. 0 to get on the waiting
program- When you register at the front desk you

 Members are asked to pay by monthly dues by Direct Deposit
 Pick up times will range from 11:00am to 12:25pm

Prime Time Camp Out
September 18, 19, 20
The Arc of Tri-Cities in cooperation with Prime Time is inviting Families, Adult Recreation participants and
caregivers to go camping at Rimrock Lake, 50 miles west
of Yakima, located high in the Cascade Mountains.
FACILITIES:
Prime Time has a 3,000 sq. ft. lodge with a large dining hall
and recreation room. Circling the lodge are 12 comfortable
cabins with cots, wood stove and electricity. There are
shower-restroom facilities. All of this is on 5 wooded acres
with only a few minutes walk to the lake and river.
• Participants are asked to share cabins. If participants are
not able and/or do not wish to share they can bring a tent
or trailer
• No Dogs Allowed
COST
Members of The Arc $40.00
Non-Members of The Arc $60.00
If you need transportation from The Arc to get to the camp
grounds and back there will be an additional $35.00
TRANSPORTATION:
The Arc will be providing limited transportation to the camp.
WHO:
Families and adults with intellectual and developmental
disabilities are invited and encouraged to attend this great
camp out.

4th Annual Challenge Series Races 2015
Saturday, July 11th
Kiwanis Club of Richland and The Arc of Tri Cities are excited to
announce the 4th Annual Challenge!
This one day event will be held on Lee Boulevard hill between Richland High and Carmichael Schools, Saturday morning, July 11, 2015.
This event pairs challenged individuals with young, able bodied drivers (usually under 12) to make three runs down the hill in a special
Race Car. The Race Cars contain two seats, one for a driver and a second for a passive steering wheel driver. This free event is not a contest, but an opportunity for community interaction with individuals
with intellectual /developmental disabilities.

Community Respite Club!
Beginning in April, you can hang out
at The Arc, socialize with friends, and
enjoy fun community activities such
as movies or bowling! Dinner is provided, and activity costs are included.

Life Enrichments Options, Issaquah, WA.
Time: 5:00-9:00 PM
Success of this event is measured in SMILES of children and parents,
grandparents. Public is invited to come and cheer on the drivers.
