PAID TIME OFF
Sick Leave – CSC provides paid sick leave to employees to cover circumstances wherein the occasional
illness of the employee, or a member of the employee’s immediate family dependent upon the employee for
care or support, prevents him/her from working. With the exception of executive management and senior

the probationary period, sick leave days are allocated at one (1) day per month for the remaining months the
employee is actively at work in that calendar year. The lesser of 12 days or 96 hours of paid sick leave are
st

allocated sick leave on a pro-rated basis. Unused credits may not be carried over to the next year or “cashed
out” at termination of employment.

RETIREMENT PROGRAMS
Registered Retirement Savings Plan/Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (RRSP/DPSP) - All regular full-time

the first day of employment. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, contributions will be
matched 100% by the Company up to 3% of regular earnings.
The annual tax-deductible contribution room, in all retirement savings plans, is 18% of earned income in the
previous year, up to an annual dollar limit, less contributions made to the DPSP which are reflected as a PA
(Pension Adjustment), plus any unused RRSP room from previous years. This amount represents the total
one can save under all tax-sheltered retirement plans. Assuming you do not have any unused room
available, the maximum contribution to an RRSP in 2015 is $24,930.
It is the responsibility of each
individual to monitor their contributions and ensure they do not exceed the maximum allowable contribution
limit. To find out what your 2015 contribution room is, please refer to your Tax Assessment issued annually
by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
Vesting - Employee RRSP contributions are vested immediately. Employees acquire vested rights to the
Employer DPSP contributions based upon the number of years of service with CSC Canada calculated from
the first day of work as follows:
The Company reserves the right to change the plan design and benefits coverage as business needs dictate. The provisions
