The 13th National Chil

The 13th National Children’s Assembly took
place this year under the
title of “Türkçem, Benim
Ses Bayrağım” at Akçiçek
Art and Culture Center.
The organization was held
with the participations of
KSK rotary club, EÇEV
and Konak City Council.
The participant schoolsÇamlaraltı Koleji, Bahçeşehir Koleji,Özel Çakabey Okulları, Ege Çağdaş Eğitim Vakfı, Özel EgeLisesi, Gelişim Koleji, Haldun Koşay
Anadolu Lisesi,Rota Koleji ve Işıkkent Eğitim Kampüsü- also made
the organization fruitful. The assembly was directed by the journalist
Y. Bekir YURDAKUL who has been the representative of Izmir Institute of Language.
The main topics of the assembly which were language
deficiency, communication
problems and language degeneration were discussed.
The participant kids had a
chance to realize how aware
they were of the subject,
which in turn was an
enlightenment for them for
the future of language.
We as Ekin College were highly honored
with the expectations of
our students from their
parents, administrative
staff and their teachers
as they had a chance to
express these expectations through media.
Orienteering as a Discipline – II
Symposium was held at Ekin College Campus
on 12th January 2014. The symposium was
carried out with the cooperation of Turkish
Orienteering Federation,
Dokuz Eylül
university, Konak mayoral office, and Zigzak
group.
The
organization
gave a great
outcome both
to
the
participants
and
the
invitees. It was
great
achievement to have guests with their
presentations from 2 countries and 9 cities, 6
workshop exhibitions, 4 university reps and
295 attendees. One of the best presentations
came from the teachers in our school. The
people attending this event all agreed that the
next event should be held in the Ekin campus
as there are
quite
many
advantages
becasue of the
physical
construction of
the school and
vast area of the
school
yard.
The
next
competitions of İZOG
2014 will be held on
10th-11th May. We
were very proud to
have hosted such a
successful event.
VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE
This car was made between the years
of 1938-2003.More then 21.5 million
Beeteles were produced.The car was
designed with the request of Adolf
Hitler. The details of the car were
designed by Hitler himself. But the
original design belongs to Ferdinand
Porsche. On the steering wheel there
are some symbols like water, castle
and a dog. Water
means that the car
moves like water, the
castle means
steadiness and the dog
means faithfullness.
A few years ago, the company produced a
new beetle which is more modern and
looks rebellious but still like the classic
one.
Yandex was founded in 2000. The aim of the company is to find
an answer for the users’ questions. It is the best search engine
in Russia and it has the fifth place in the world.
This company has also a mail service. Its name is Yandex Mail.
Its goal is to provide connection between users. It is very useful
because if you use Yandex Mail you can control all your mail
accounts. For example when you use Yandex Mail you can
check your Gmail or other mail accounts.
This company has also a disk. Its name is Yandex Disk. Its
goal is to protect users documents. If you want to register to
use Yandex Disk, you must create
a Yandex account. It is very useful
because you can reach your
documents from all computers.
The web browser Yandex Browser
was made in 2012 by Yandex. You
can download it on Yandex’s
website. It is a very fast web
browser and it has a lot of
advantages. That’s why Yandex
Browser is very useful.
Mehmet Cengiz Öz was born in Cleveland in
1960. He graduated from Harvard University. He
married Lisa Öz. Mehmet Öz was not only surgeon
but also writer and a talk-show speaker. He has
expertise of Minimally invasive heart surgery,
Cardiothoracic surgery, Mitral and aortic valve
surgery, adult cardiac transplantation,
Mechanical heart
assistance
and
Coronary by bass
and
aneurysm
surgery. Also he has
some prizes from
surgeoning, like the
one from American
Society
of
Laser
Medicine and Surgery. Now he is working at New
York Presbyterian Hospital.
Holi Festival is
an ancient Hindu
spring festival.
It’s also known
as The Festival
of Colours. Even
though it’s a
Hindu festival, it
has become popular with nonHindus
and
different nations, especially in South Asia.
It’s celebrated in Nepal, India and in other parts of
the world that have a significant population of
Hindus and Indian people.
Celebrations start with a bonfire named Holika, the
night before Holi. The next morning, everyone, no
matter
how
different they are
come
together
and have fun with
some
colourful
waterfights and
colour eachother.
This takes place
in the streets,
parks, everywhere in the city. People sing and dance
and eat some delicious food. In the evening,
everyone put some clean clothes on and visit their
families. It’s a national holiday in India.
Each year the school
plans and organizes motivational activities for the
8th grades
to prepare
them for the challenging
exams. This year they
enjoyed a nice breakfast
and a bowling tournament.

In their first show they
rob a bank in France

robbery case. At the same time a guy who is famous
for solving illusions, Thaddeus Bradley, tries to
solve the robbery illusion for them but he forgets
something.

I think Z orbing is
really funny because it’s like
roller-coaster which hasn’t got
a moving plan .And falling in
the orb should be really funny.
I think I should try this one
day.
2. ATTORNEY
The orb has 2 sections, it has a one ball in an air
layer. The air layer is used as ‘Shock Absorber’, which
guards us while travelling. Many orbs have got straps to
hold while travelling. And
orbs have entrances like tunnels.

1. ACTOR
Zorbing is a sport which involves rolling from a mountain
when you are in an orb usually made of transparent plastic.
This sport is done in a gentle slope area, but if you are professional you can do it in high slope area. There are two types of
orbs (the balls that you enter), non-harnessed and harnessed.
Non-harnessed ones can carry 2 riders while harnessed ones
can carry 3 riders.
