DESCRIPTION
Shape provides highly flexible LED lighting
strands for architectural and contour lighting applications. Shape’s proprietary fixture
design flexes at each node providing dynamic shaped lighting for unique applications.
Shape is available in a variety of LED colors
and Kelvins along with a full line of accessories such as straight and flexible mounting
channels.
KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS
• Construction: LEDs sealed in silicone rubber.
Mounting channels are available in aluminum
or UV stabilized polycarbonate.

INSTALLATION
POWER SUPPLIES AND RECOMMENDED RUN LENGTHS
Shape light strands operate on 12VDC. A single strand consumes 6W and up
to three (3) strands can be connected on a single run. Select an appropriate
power supply to properly power the total wattage of connected Shape strands.
To avoid voltage drop, please consult the following table for our maximum
recommended run lengths from power supply to the end of the run based
on the size of the cable from the power supply to the first Shape Series strand.
Total run length = Lead cable + Shape Series light strands

CUTTING
Shape light strands can be shortened in the field if necessary. Using a
sharp pair of wire snips, strands with white and blue LEDs can be cut
from the end after every third LED (3 LEDs from the end, 6 LEDs from
the end, 9 LEDs from the end, and so on). Strands with red LEDs can be
cut from the end after every fourth LED (4 LEDs from the end, 8 LEDs
from the end, 12 LEDs from the end, and so on). Apply silicon adhesive
to the cut end of the strand to make it watertight and insulated.
WARNING: Trimmed LEDs cannot be re-attached.

WIRING CONNECTIONS
Shape light strands are connected (maximum three in a series) by the
lead wires (black to black, red to red) on the ends of each strand. Connect
the branch cable from the power supply to the appropriate wires (black
(-) to negative and red (+) to positive using code compliant wiring
method such as wire nuts or shrink wrap within optional contractor
provided junction box.

STRAND INSTALLATION
After making all wiring connections for your run, install the aluminum or polycarbonate channel using flat head screws in the provided mounting holes
in the channel to properly secure it to your surface. (Double-sided tape may additionally be used to help position and adjust the channel before securing it.) Position the Shape strand over the channel and apply even pressure to secure the LEDs into trough. DO NOT FORCE LEDs INTO CHANNEL OR
CIRCUITS MAY BE DAMAGED. Secure the strand with the Spring Bracket Tool and springs (see ACCESSORIES).
