Bret Bowlin, Owner of Mountain Valley Farms and ATL Urban
Farms, located in Forsyth County, Georgia. Raised in the Metro
Atlanta area, Bret graduated from Georgia State University in 1981
and has worked in the horticulture industry for 29 years. After 10
years with a design/build landscape firm, he and his wife, Cindy,
founded Mountain Valley Farms in 1995 to grow ground cover
plants and ornamental perennials.
Since 2008, Bret has also been seeking sustainable methods of
growing all natural vegetables. In response to the need for
seedlings grown specifically for the Tower Garden, he established
ATL Urban Farms in 2013. ATL Urban Farms now provides
seedlings, show plants, and workshops to help Tower
Gardeners grow clean food and their businesses.
