Dear Sir,
Quotations are invited in sealed envelope for and on the behalf of The President of India acting through
Head, UED for (1) Dismantling of existing set up for HF furnace scrubber and shifting of the
scrubber to new location, (2) Removal of damaged non-metallic pipeline, (3) Fabrication,
installation and testing of SS-304L pipeline for (a) transferring of scrubber solution to RUMP-ETP
area & (b) recirculation of scrubber solution (4) removal of the existing pump and installation of
centrifugal pump by modification of pipeline (5) Dismantling and repair of FRP scrubber valve.
Please note that quotations shall be submitted on printed letter heads and must bear PAN No. /
VAT NO. / Service Tax / Sale Tax No. etc. Quotations not complying with them are liable to be
rejected.
Scope of work:
(1) Dismantling of existing set up for HF furnace scrubber and shifting of the scrubber to new
location:
This job involves the following jobs:
• Dismantling of all existing pipeline joints of HF furnace scrubber system
• Shifting of the scrubber dyke to new location and placement of this scrubber unit to dyke
• Installation of magnetic pump by placing it at proper position in dyke
• Shifting of the intermediate pot and its holding tray to new location as per the magnetic pump location
• Modification of one MS platform as per the dimensions of Scrubber dyke so that scrubber dyke could
be placed on it for support.
As both scrubber unit and its dyke are both bulky and made of PVC material, so both these items should
be handled and shifted very carefully to avoid any breakage/damage to the unit.
(2) Removal of damaged non metallic pipeline
This job involves the removal of existing damaged pipeline. This pipeline is laid at an elevation of 5-6
meters above ground level and in a properly supported condition.
(3) Fabrication, installation and testing of SS-304L pipeline for
(a) Transferring of scrubber solution to RUMP-ETP area:
This job includes fabrication, installation and testing of SS-304L pipeline for transferring the scrubber
solution to ETP-RUMP area.
Following material will be used for this job:
Pipeline length (25 NB, Sch 40)
No. of flanges (25 NB, Class 150)
Elbow (25 NB, Sch 40)
T (25 NB, Sch 40)
SS-304 nut bolt (12 mm X 55 mm)

This job includes fabrication, installation and testing of SS-304L pipeline for transferring the scrubber
solution to ETP-RUMP area.
Following material will be used for this job:

No. of flanges (25 NB, Class 150)
Elbow (25 NB, Sch 40)
T (25 NB, Sch 40)

This is a site specific specialized job and party will not be allowed to take any material outside
RUMP/UED premises. Material will be provided by BARC.
Party will carry out the work on job basis.
(4) Installation of centrifugal pump
This job involves

removal of the already fitted centrifugal pump along with the MS base frame
Modification of this base frame as per the new centrifugal pump
Installation and testing of the new centrifugal pump by suitably modifying pipelines.

This is a site specific specialized job and party will not be allowed to take any material outside
RUMP/UED premises. Material will be provided by BARC.
Party will carry out the work on job basis.
(5) Dismantling and repair of FRP scrubber
This job involves:
•
Dismantling and removal of one FRP valve fitted in exhaust scrubber pipeline
•
Re-fitting of the valve after inspection of the scrubber unit for water leakage and preparing special
shape of PVC gasket for this re-fitting
Special care to be taken for this job as this job involves working at elevation of 5 mtrs above the terrace
level. All the tools and tackles required for this job will be arranged by the party.

Confidentiality: No party shall disclose any information to any third party concerning the matters
under this contract generally. In particular, any information identified as “Propriety” in nature by the
disclosing party shall be kept strictly confidential by the receiving party and shall not be disclosed to
any third party without the prior written consent of the original disclosing party.
This clause shall apply to the sub-contractors, consultants, advisers or the employees engaged by a
party with equal force.
II.
“Restricted information” categories under Section 18 of the Atomic Energy Act, 1962 and “Official
Secrets” under Section 5 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923:Any contravention of the above –mentioned provisions by any contractor, sub-contractor, consultant,
adviser or the employees of a contractor will invite penal consequences under the aforesaid legislation.
III.
Prohibition against use of BARC’s name without permission for publicity purposes:
The contractor or sub-contractor, consultant, adviser or the employees engaged by the contractor shall
not use BARC’s name for any publicity purpose through any public media like Press, Radio, T.V. or
Internet without the prior written approval of BARC.

: Ex-works including packaging forwarding and transportation.
: The supplier shall guarantee against any manufacturing
defect and trouble free performance for a period of one
year from the date of the receipt of the material.

: Income Tax @ 2% shall be deducted from vendor’s bill.
: 100% after satisfactory completion of work and submission
of the following documents.

(b) Advance stamped receipt and ECS mandate form

Quotations should reach on or before the stipulated date to Head, UED in sealed envelope clearly mentioning the
tender number and due date.
