‘Best for Bearsted’ Community Members
Bearsted Parish Council Elections, 7th May 2015
We are a group of local residents who are standing for election
to the Parish Council with a joint aim – to make Bearsted Parish
Council really work for you.
We are a group that truly represents the mix of the community
– we span a wide age range, with different backgrounds and
experiences. Some have young families, some older children
and some are retired. We understand the issues that affect you.
Our priorities
1
Communication and Consultation We’ll find out your
issues and concerns, listen to what you say and make these our
priority. We’ll tell you what we are doing on your behalf through
newsletters, the website, social media and surgeries. We’ll get out
and meet you too!
2
Efficiency and Value for Money We’ll get things done
quickly and effectively. We recognise that the Parish Council’s
funding comes from your taxes and we will spend it wisely.
3
Protect, Maintain and Improve We’ll work to keep our
environment clean, well-maintained, safe and litter free; we’ll fight
to preserve our green spaces and resist over-development. One of
our first priorities is the repair of the Church Landway lights.
4
The Community We’ll run community events and activities for
the benefit of the local residents of all age groups and interests
(including Music on the Green, if you tell us you want it). We’ll
support local businesses and work with providers of support
services that help elderly, young, disabled and vulnerable people.
You have 15 votes in the Parish Council elections – please
vote for all 14 ‘Best for Bearsted’ Community Members!
