Dear Madam, dear Sir,
I am writing to you on behalf of the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS).
EUJS is the umbrella organization for 35 national Jewish student unions in Europe and the
FSU, representing over 200,000 Jewish students. It is a non-partisan organization which
wishes, among other things, to strengthen European Jewish society through activism and

EUJS Summer University
Since 1984, one of the major EUJS events is the annual organization of a Summer University,
which has become one of the world largest and most successful event for young Jews
between 18 and 30 years old.
EUJS Summer U constitutes an amazing opportunity for Jewish students from all over
Europe to get together during one week, and to exchange about their lives, their
Communities, but also to make new friends and have fun.
Depending on their interests and mood, they can choose from a diverse list of sessions
tackling issues that are relevant to today’s young Jews and develop their skills in the
Leadership Track.
For more than 32 years, this mixture between empowering tools and fun activities has made
Summer U a unique moment during which young Jews can express their identity, learn, have
fun and contribute to enriching European Jewish life.
2015 Summer University
The 2015 Summer U will take place in Portugal. This year resort in located right between the
clear waters of the Atlantic ocean and the most picturesque environment, at only 5 minutes
from the beach.
Participant will be able to attend seminars dealing with topics such as the history and future
of Israel, but also workshops on leadership and social entrepreneurship.
Moreover, this particular Summer U is very special, since the EUJS General Assembly 2015
will take place there. Participants will have the opportunity to join the discussion, elect the
next EUJS president and board and make their voices heard, being at the very heart of the
decision making process of EUJS.
