Timing to
perfection
JUST five lots remain in the
stage 3A release while 65 per
cent of stage 3B has sold at
Coomera's Big Sky community.
Builders AVJennings have
reported an influx of buyers
over recent months at the
popular estate, with executive
general manager for
Queensland, South Australia
and New Zealand, Mark
Henesey- Smith, putting land
sales success down to the 89 per
cent increase in home building
approvals on the Gold Coast.
"It's no secret that the Gold
Coast's property industry has
slowed down in recent years,
but if the latest increase in sales
and- according to the AB S home building approvals are
anything to go by, the market
seems to be shifting," he said.
"With house -and -land
packages available from just
$384,500, buyers are seeing the
opportunity to build their
dream home in a brand -new
community at an affordable
price.
"When you look at the
property market cycle, now is a
great time to buy - with interest
rates at a record low, a $15,000
government grant available on
new homes and competitive
pricing on land stock, such as
our new lots at Big Sky."
Mr Henesey -Smith said
while price points had always
been an influencing factor in a
purchaser's decision, it was
important to back good value
with a great location, variety of
lots and a community lifestyle.
He said Big Sky had a total of
43 lots in the stage three release,
which were now available from
$209,900 to $274,900.
"The five lots remaining in
the current stage 3A release are
titled and ready to build on,
with the balance of homesites
currently under construction
and due to be finished by the
end of the year," Mr HeneseySmith said.
"Some of the new homesites
boast an enviable position
facing bushland corridors and
extended bike pathways.
"It's a really natural, leafy
environment with plenty of
open space."
Mr Henesey -Smith said Big
Sky had already secured more
than $10 million in sales over
the past six months and was
proving to be one of the most
popular new communities in
the northern Gold Coast.
"Coomera is one of the Gold
Coast's fastest growing areas attracting purchasers who are
looking for an affordable
property in an emerging area,'
he said.
"Big Sky residents are
already within proximity to
schools, shops, parks and
entertainment precincts, but
over the coming years the
number of amenities within
reach will multiply in line with
the anticipated population
growth.
"The new Rededge
convenience shopping centre is
expected to open on December,
16 anchored by an IGA
supermarket, with a mix of
retails outlets such as a cafe. a
selection of food outlets, a
hairdresser and a medical
centre."
As part of the stage three
land release, AVJennings is
offering a limited number of
house and land packages priced
from $384,500.
