About Our Veteran
In November of 2006 in Iraq, the
vehicle that Army SGT Steven Curry
was riding in with the 2nd Battalion,
35th Infantry Regiment (Cacti), 25th
Infantry Division was struck by four
explosively formed penetrators
(EFPs). The unit was on an escort
mission with the Air Force EOD
(explosive ordnance device) team.
As a result of the blast, SGT Curry
suffered a traumatic brain injury
(TBI) from the explosion and the
eventual amputation of his left leg
below the knee.

We are very excited to announce that Homes for Our Troops
will be building a new, specially adapted, home for
Army SGT Steven Curry in Nokesville, Virginia
Please join Homes for Our Troops at his Community Kick Off
Celebration where we will introduce his story and his family to the
community and begin drumming up support and awareness for this
project. This is a chance to learn how you, your family, work, and
community can help support this Veterans project from the beginning!
