Hi Teams –
Again, thank you for registering to play in Rock Spring League this spring. We have appreciated your patience and
understanding as we transition registrars of the league. There is a LOT of important information contained in this
email, so please take a few minutes to review.
1 – Many schedule changes have been made due to field availability issues. All schedules have been re-uploaded.
Please check your schedule – some changes have been highlighted, however, please check all of your games for
new times or fields. Reach out to your opponents weekly to confirm field location and game times to be sure
everyone is on the same page.
2 – Schedules have NOT been updated to reflect changes due to cup conflicts. If you have a cup conflict moving
forward, please email me with DIVISION, DATE, TIME, FIELD and OPPONENTS so I can cancel the refs. ALL
CUP CANCELLATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE WEDNESDAY BEFORE THE WEEKEND OF CUP PLAY
OR YOU WILL OWE REF FEES FOR YOUR ROCK SPRING GAME. We cannot make last minute changes after
Wednesday. Reach out to your opponent to alert them that you will not be playing the game on the assigned day
and then work to come up with a new game time that works for both teams. Email me with new information so I can
assign refs to the new game.
3 – The start date of 3/29 still shows on the schedules – please remember these games will be played on 6/7.
4 – Remember your ref fees, player passes and line up sheets for each game. Ref fee pricing can be found here http://www.epysa.org/membership/referees/referees_fees_201516/
You may use the EPYSA line up cards or those from your fall league – or you can use those provided by Rock

5 – Starting NOW there will be NO CHANGES to the game schedule except for CUP CONFLICTS. Any games that
cannot be played for any reason other than cups will incur a $50 forfeit fee. Rock League allows 7 guest players, so
please utilize this option in order to get your games played when scheduled. We have 592 teams playing in the
league this season – we cannot schedule around coaches with 2 teams, birthday parties or baseball games. Thank
you for understanding.
6 – As much as we hate to think about it, we do need to be prepared in the event of bad weather on game day.
Here is what is posted on our website about bad weather:
The Rock Spring league typically leaves field status decisions up to the individual clubs but as a general
rule teams do play in the rain. Referee’s determine if field conditions are safe for game play. Note that
all games will be cancelled if there is lightning.
If any club closes their fields for the day due to the rain, Rock Spring League must be notified right away to
allow time to cancel referees. If the weather is bad enough that a league wide decision is made to cancel all
games for the day, a message will be posted on the website.
We will post on our website - www.rockleague.net - any CLUBS that decide to cancel fields site wide, on any given
Sunday. It will then be up to the individual teams that were to host those cancelled home games, to reach out to
their opponents to confirm cancellation. Rock League should be notified as soon as possible as to any Sunday sitewide cancellations.
