● Gatsby returns to his house at four in the
morning after making sure Daisy was okay.
● Nick tells Gatsby that he should leave
because of the hit and run but he says he
has to wait for Daisy.
● Gatsby tells his love story with Daisy to Nick
about how he felt Daisy left him with nothing
but feeling married.
● It returns to Gatsby and Nick talking at
Gatsby’s house.
● Nick stayed with Gatsby for as long as
possible and he missed his train twice. Nick
told him he would call at noon.
● Nick turned down Jordan for lunch, she took
it as a break up.
● Wilson talks to Michaelis about what
happened with the hit and run.
● Wilson goes crazy and left for Gatsby’s
house.
● Gatsby was taking his first swim of the
summer when Wilson killed him and himself.
○ Not even the Butlers heard the shots.
● Nick finds Gatsby in the pool.
● Nick goes away to work
● Gatsby is shot
● Wilson commits suicide
● “Daisy, gleaming like silver, safe and proud above the
hot struggles of the poor.”
● “They’re a rotten crowd. You’re worth the whole damn
bunch put together.”
● “It was after we started with Gatsby toward the house
that the gardener saw Wilson’s body a little way off in
the grass, and the holocaust was complete.”
● Jordan and Nick break up
● Michaelis gives Wilson emotional support
● Wilson hates Gatsby because he believes
he was the one who hit his wife with his car
