Catterina Calderon Joins as Director of Human Resources;
Meaghan Walsh Comes Aboard as Director of Finance
Hollywood, Fla. – April 9, 2015 – The new-build Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort,
opening this summer on the legendary Hollywood Beach Broadwalk in Greater Fort
Lauderdale, Florida, today announced the addition of two new members to its executive team.
Effective immediately, Catterina Calderon will serve as director of human resources and
Meaghan Walsh will take on the role of director of finance.
“We are very pleased to welcome Catterina and Meaghan to the Margaritaville Hollywood
Beach Resort family,” said Cate Farmer, the resort’s general manager. “They both bring a
great deal of expertise in their respective areas and will undoubtedly be remarkable additions
to the team as we prepare to open our doors later this year.”
With more than 15 years of experience in hospitality human
resources, Calderon (pictured left) joins the Margaritaville Hollywood
Beach Resort team as director of human resources. Prior to joining
Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, Calderon was director of
human resources for Naples Bay Resort. In that role, she directed and
coordinated all duties related to the position, including recruitment,
employee benefits, job evaluations and counseling. She previously
served in various hotel and resort leadership roles, including senior
manager of human resources for Wyndham Hotel Group, where she
oversaw a four-property department. She also formerly served as vice
president of human resources for the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, where she successfully
managed labor relations for more than 2,000 employees.
A seasoned hospitality finance and operations leader with 16
years of experience, Walsh (pictured right) has lived and
worked in ten cities over the course of her career. She
relocated to Miami in 2006 and since then has worked at some
of South Florida’s most well-known hotels and resorts including
the Hyatt Regency Miami, the Perry Hotel South Beach and the
Gansevoort Miami Beach. Most recently, Walsh served as
director of finance and assistant general manager for The
James Royal Palm, leading all financial and resort operations for the renowned Miami Beach
hotel.
