Coming Events
Cornerstone Summer Nationals (Formerly Pinewood Derby):
Girls & Boys of all ages are welcome to join in building their
own small racecar, out of wood. Cost is $5 per participant.
Car building: Tues. June 2 (6:30-8pm). Race Day & BBQ will
be Sun., June 14, at noon. If you would be interested in helping
organize the BBQ, please talk to Carole Wiens.
Pie Baking for the New Hamburg MCC Relief Sale: here at
Cornerstone, Fri., May 29, 8:30am. Everyone is welcome to join
us - no experience necessary; speak to Dorothy Wiens for
more information. Please let Dorothy know if you have any
frozen fruit to contribute. If you would like to purchase a pie to
support the MCC relief sale, please come to the church by 12:00
noon on the day of our baking. Pies are $10 each.

Jr. Youth Ministry (Grades 6-8) ~ Each Thursday, 7-9pm.
Sr. Youth Ministry (Grades 9-12) ~ Each Friday from 7-10pm.
Cornerstone Community Garden: A vegetable garden will be
planted, here at Cornerstone, on Sun., May 31 at 2:00pm. Meals
Plus will distribute produce harvested. Help to maintain the
garden is also needed; a sign up sheet is in the foyer. You can
sign up for a week at a time. Contact Sherrie Bayne if you have
any questions.
Cornerstone VBS: July 27-31, 2015. On-line registration is now
available. Go to ccchurch.ca/vbs. Volunteers are needed; please
sign up on the bulletin board.
Cornerstone Church Library: Volunteers are needed to help on
Sunday mornings. If you are interested in getting involved,
please speak to Veronika Loewen at 905-468-0115.
Hannah House Maternity Home: 11th Annual ‘Change for Life’
Baby Bottle Campaign. Please return bottles as soon as possible.
Pleasant Manor Memorial Service: May 21, 7pm in the
Creekview Mtg. Room. We invite family & friends to join us for a
time of remembering & sharing. Refreshments will follow.
Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Announcements:
èMCC Nepal Earthquake Response: The Canadian government will
provide matching funds for donations from individual Canadians
to relief efforts in Nepal until May 25. Donate today at
mcccanada.ca/nepal-earthquake.
èRelief/Hygiene Kits: Please drop off items off to the container
in the foyer. (NEW items only) Please see bin for a list of items.
èMennonite Relief Sale (www.nhmrs.com), May 29 & 30, at the
New Hamburg Fair grounds.
Mennonite Disaster Service praises God for the dedication of 3
new homes in High River, AB. Three families moved into their
new homes in late April; something they have been looking
forward to since their houses were destroyed in the June 2013
floods. This would not have been possible without the donations
and MDS volunteers that spent a day, a week, a month or more
working selflessly. Thank you!
