Rnd 1: 9 dc in 1st chain, sl st to the first st to join. (9 sts) Join Green, drop Blue.

Join Blue, fasten off Yellow.
Rnd 8: Ch 1, *[sc 6, 2 sc in next st], repeat from * around, sl st to the 1st st to join. (48 sts)
Fasten off, leaving an 18” length.
Using yarn needle, sew the eye onto hat. Next sew 3 spots on each side of eye.
Pom:
1st Step: Wrap Blue, Yellow and Green yarn around a large glass or piece of cardboard that is approx. 6”wide,
40 times (or more if you want the pom to be thicker).
2nd Step: Carefully remove the yarn from the glass or cardboard.
Hold the winding of yarn closed in one hand, tie a short length of yarn tightly around the hank in the middle,
and knot or slip knot it 2 or 3 times (shown in contrasting color).
3rd Step: Cut the hank open at each end and trim evenly.
Secure the pom to the item by slipping a long piece of yarn through the yarn tied around the center and
knotting to hat top securely.
4th Step: Fluff the pom to finish.
