Childrens Hunter Division: For riders 17 years and under. Open to both horses and ponies. Fences not to exceed 2'6". May
be split into two divisions; under 17 years of age. Six ribbons to be awarded. Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons.
Green Hunter Division: Open to any horse or pony in their first two years' of showing over fences. Fences not to exceed 2'6"
with no in and out. Horses and ponies in this division must stay within the 2'6" fence classes. Six ribbons to be awarded. Champion
and Reserve Champion ribbons. Cannot enter Open Hunter over fences.
Open Hunter Division: Open to all ages of riders. Open to both horses and ponies. Fences not to exceed 3'. Six ribbons to be
awarded. Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons.
Adult Hunter Division: Open to riders 18 years and over. Fences not to exceed 2'6". Six ribbons to be awarded. Champion and
Reserve Champion ribbons.
Walk/Trot: Open to all ages of riders. To be shown at the walk and trot. Riders in this division cannot cross enter any other
division(s). Six ribbons to be awarded. Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons.
Beginner Division: Open to riders of any age. Hard hat and shoe with heel is required. This division may be split if entries
warrant. Six ribbons to be awarded. Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons. Can only cross-enter flat classes for which you are
eligible for, or Special division.
Pleasure Division: Open to horses and ponies, martingales prohibited. To be shown both ways of the ring at a walk, trot and
canter. May be asked reasonable test of a pleasure horse as the Judge may deem necessary. To be judged on manners, suitability and
performance. Six ribbons to be awarded . Hack fences not to exceed 2’3”.
Bridle Path Hack: Open to horses and ponies. To be shown at a walk, trot, extended trot and hand gallop both ways of the ring on
a reasonably loose rein with no loss of contact. To be judged on manners, suitability, performance and substance .
Hunter Hack: To be shown at the walk, trot, and canter both ways of the ring. To jump two fences, not exceeding 2'3", hand
gallop stop and back.
Special Hunter: The over fences class will consist of a course not to exceed 8 fences at 2' 3”. The year-end award will be a
horse/rider combination, but the class will be judged on the horse, not on equitation. If the horse/rider combination decides to proceed
to a 2'6" over fences class, they will no longer be eligible for the special division and their points will only accumulate to that point
towards year-end championships for CHENSEGO. The combination may show in any flat class for which they are eligible.
Open Equitation: Open to riders of any age. Unlimited blue ribbons in equitation classes at either recognized or unrecognized
horse shows. Fence heights 2'6". All Chesego members who place 1st or 2nd in a Chensego pointed Open equitation class qualify for a
year-end equitation ride off to be held at the last horse show of the season.
2’ Hunter – Open to all horses and ponies and rider’s of any age. Not to cross enter into classes that exceed 2’3”.
Low Equitation: Open to riders of any age.. Cannot enter Open Hunter O/F or go into any fence class that jumps exceed over
2’3”.
DIRECTIONS: FROM THE INTERSECTION OF NYS ROUTE 7 AND NYS ROUTE 8 located in Sidney, NY GO NORTH ON
ROUTE 8 APPROXIMATELY 6 MILES THROUGH THE HAMLET OF ROCKDALE. GO THROUGH ROCKDALE APPROX. 1
MILE. MAKE LEFT ONTO MEDBURY ROAD. FROM THE NORTH, FROM THE BLINKER LIGHT IN MT. UPTON GO
SOUTH ON NYS ROUTE 8 FOR APPROXIMATELY 2.5 MILES TURN RIGHT ONTO MEDBURY ROAD. GO 1/4 MILE,
FARM ON RIGHT.
