Mayor’s Notes
Sunshine and warmer
weather bring an increase in
outdoor activities enjoyed
by kids and adults alike. I'm
seeing increased foot traffic
on W. 3rd St. as people
head for the park to enjoy a
few hours of fun after work
now that the days are
longer. More people, kids
and dogs using the streets
make it ever so important
to obey the city's traffic
rules: STOP at all the stop
signs and keep your speed
low enough to be aware of
children playing in their
yards and driveways. No

Nicer weather also means
the start of construction
season. Before you begin
your renovations or additions, please review the
City's Development Code,
available online, for possible specific requirements
for your project. You can
also call or visit City Hall to
ask our staff any questions
you might have about regulations, special provisions
or building permits. Having
all the information you
need before you start is the
best way to avoid delays
and extra expense.
