SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY: LINCOLN CENTER PRESENTS: CLE WITH CULTURE LINCOLN CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS The Legal Department of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts prides
itself on a culture of innovation. Over the past 10 years, we have
developed the Counsels’ Council, a new method for procuring pro
bono services; convened the Performing Arts Attorneys Group, a
nationwide affinity group of in-house and outside counsel serving
performing arts organizations; and published Good Counsel: Meeting
the Legal Needs of Nonprofits, the bestselling book educating
attorneys and nonprofit leaders about the legal context of charitable
organizations.
This spring, Lincoln Center is proud to present CLE with Culture, our inaugural Continuing Legal Education program,
on May 6, 2015. We are bringing together two distinguished panels of experts:
• Top in-house counsel from Disney, the NFL, AOL/Huffington Post, and more will discuss how lawyers play
an integral role advancing America’s reputation through better drafting and negotiating of deals for global
cultural exchange.
• Senior in-house and law firm attorneys serving as trustees and pro bono counsel to Doctors Without
Borders, the Brookings Institution, the Council on Foreign Relations, and other renowned global nonprofits
will discuss the opportunities and challenges of those roles.
This innovative program will be introduced by Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye. It will be followed by a cocktail reception at
which Daniel Kornstein, author of Kill All the Lawyers?, will provide legal background and context for a performance
of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, presented by the Juilliard School, that evening.
