CSU Safety Summit Event information
The Department of Facilities and Safety is excited to announce our First Annual Safety
Summit will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. The Safety Summit will be held in the
Cleveland State University, Student Center Ballroom from 8am to 1pm. The opening key
note speaker will be Mr. John Born, Director of Public Safety for the State of Ohio.
Following the morning session, concurrent sessions on trending topics in campus and
public safety will be presented. The closing luncheon will include a panel discussion on
how to handle the media in an active shooter incident. The panelists are Joseph Bergant,
Superintendent, Cuyahoga Heights Schools & former Superintendent, Chardon Schools ,
Michael Hanlon, Superintendent, Chardon Schools and Bruce Hennes, Managing Partner,
Hennes Paynter Communications.
Why Attend the CSU Safety Summit? This event will present an educational and
networking opportunity for public safety officials, K-12, and higher education professionals across Ohio.
