Shared Neighbourhood Teams
There are 3 Shared Neighbourhood Teams (SNT’s) in the Borough for East and West
Blackburn and Darwen & Rural. The teams consist of police officers and council staff working
together, lead by the neighbourhood manager for the area. The job of the SNT’s is to support
local Ward Councillors and residents to make improvements to their neighbourhood. This
involves projects to deal with crime and antisocial behaviour, promoting health and well being,
supporting community groups, and promoting volunteering. The teams also offer advice and
support for families and individuals in need to help them lead positive and healthy lifestyles.
We also run local work clubs throughout the Borough to help people get back into work.
These are informal group sessions where you can get help with job searches. We can also
refer you for support with on-line applications, writing a CV, and preparing for interviews.
We can also help people get more in depth advice and guidance on an individual basis as
required.
