Where Life is celebrated, Love is affirmed, Grief & Joy are shared
Sunday 17 May 2015
Come to the Lord, the living stone
rejected by people as worthless
but chosen by God as valuable.
Come as living stones,
and let yourselves be used
in building the spiritual temple.

BIND US TOGETHER
CLIMATE CHANGE BATON
Chorus:
Bind us together, Lord, Bind us together
With cords that cannot be broken.
Bind us together, Lord, Bind us together,
Bind us together with love.
With the Paris climate change summit just eight months away, EcoCongregation Scotland has organised a baton relay to alert congregations to this important event.
1
There is only one God,
There is only one King;
There is only one Body,
That is why we sing: Bind us ...
The relay was launched at the annual gathering of Eco-Congregation
Scotland and is travelling round the
country. It will be at the General
Assembly this week and at
Craigsbank Church on Pentecost
Sunday, next week.
2
Made for the glory of God,
Purchased by His precious Son;
Born with the right to be clean,
For Jesus the victory has won. Bind us ...
3
We are the family of God,
We are the promise divine;
We are God’s chosen desire,
We are the glorious new wine. Bind us ...
Made by the Greyfriars Recycling of
Wood Project the baton carries the
message:
'Time for Climate Justice:
Churches in Scotland
Demand a Deal in Paris,
December 2015'
ECO—TIPS from your Eco-Team
CLINGFILM is useful stuff, but there is no need to wrap everything in it! Try putting food in a bowl
in the fridge and covering it with a plate instead. For food that must be left out cover it with a
clean dish towel, damp if necessary to keep sandwiches fresh.
EDINBURGH TOOL LIBRARY
It works like a library but instead of borrowing books you borrow tools. This
shares resources, everyone saves money and helps the environment. Find
them on Facebook or at: [email protected]
ECO CONGREGATION AWARD
Following our recent visit we have been informed that we will be receiving our
2nd Eco congregation award. More details soon. Thanks to our Eco Team for
all the work they do in raising awareness of these important issues.
