2015 PHCC CONFERENCE – 1ST NOTICE
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
The Provincial Health Care Council Conference is scheduled for May 12th and 13th and will
take place at the Holiday Inn Airport West in Winnipeg. Registration will occur between
8 am – 9 am on May 12th. The focus of the Conference will be:
 bargaining: debrief and discuss how we will proceed in next round;
 review and vote on amendments to the PHCC Terms of Reference;
 review and vote on new Terms of Reference for the Recruitment, Retention and
Education Fund (RREF);
 election of PHCC Executive.
The Council is planning a social evening of wine and cheese on Tuesday, May 12th.
A block of rooms have been reserved for members at the Holiday Inn Airport West located
at 2520 Portage Avenue. Please call as soon as possible to book your rooms.

In order to know how many delegates your Local is allowed to send to the Conference,
please refer to #2. of the PHCC Terms of Reference which we have copied below:
2. REPRESENTATION
Member representation at General Council meetings/conferences is comprised of
affiliated locals of the PHCC and local entitlements are as follows:
– 50 members:
2 delegates
51 – 100:
3 delegates
101 – 200:
4 delegates
201 – 300:
5 delegates
301 – 400:
6 delegates
401 – 500:
7 delegates
501 – 750:
8 delegates
751 – 1,000:
9 delegates

Locals over 1,000 will also be entitled to one (1) delegate for each additional 250
members.
Each affiliated local is entitled to send additional members to General Council
meetings/conferences as observers with a voice in discussions but no vote.
Local membership is based on actual national per capita paying members.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your assigned National Staff
Representative for direction.
