The new Edmonton Inner City Lions Club. They are in the
Lions Cavalcade for
Diabetes Awareness

process of applying for their charter. There are 25 charter members and
they meet on the first and third Thursday at the Boyle Street Community
Centre. These new prospective Lions have already worked on a number
of hands on projects in the inner city and have plans for a lot more. The
club was started by two Lions, Marcel Peirera and Sandy Lutic. They are
focused on helping in the inner city area and supporting affordable
housing. Their Guiding Lions/mentors are PDGs Donna Wozney and
Wanda Coates

Morinville Lions Club member Neil McDougall, ViceChair of the Lions Club Awards Committee and President
Francis Fryters (far right) presented the Morinville Lions Citizen of
the year trophy to Morinville & District Chamber of Commerce
President Simon Boersma. The presentation took place 9 April
at the Town of Morinville Volunteer Appreciation Evening held
at the Community Cultural Centre.

Please help bring joy to a child by bringing a new unwrapped toy or game (optional). Should the
weather not be great please put the toy in a clear plastic bag this way it keeps clean and visible, please
dress appropriately. Should you decide not to participate after paying your registration fee there will
be no refunds as this is all for charity.
The registration gains each participant a T-shirt at time of registration, a hamburger and a bottle of
water at the end of the ride, a 50/50 draw and possible door prizes.
