rage in the United States, Australia and other countries…but the good news
is, the trend is fast catching up in the capital city New Delhi, as a bunch of
young entrepreneurs, as well as big names in the industry, are setting up
food trucks to lure the foodies on the go! Here are some food trucks that
you should absolutely check out!

Delhites rushing for work without their daily share of the healthy nashta pani
needn’t worry anymore. This snack truck, parked pretty outside the
Sultanpur Metro Station, serves up delicious breakfast and snacks, all day
long. Take your pick from their range of stuffed paranthas, pooris, poha,
upma or sandwiches. The Spicy Soya Curry Wrap or the French Toast
stuffed with chicken salami and cheese mark the perfect start to the day.
Wash it down with a fruit shake or a cappuccino, and you’re ready for the

From the evergreen anda bhurji, to a sunny side up served with fried
sausages, bacon and hash browns…it has EVERYTHING an egg-aficionado
would ever want! Want other things instead? Visit EGGjactly in the evening
and try their Big Chick Burger, stashed with a chicken patty, cheese and a
perfect runny egg; or their range of Maggis and pastas. Finish it with the
fresh-baked Belgian waffles topped with chocolate ganache. The top pick

Serving at Sarita Vihar on weekdays and DLF Place, Saket on weekends, this
is the go-to place for some classic dude-food. with a range of loaded wraps,
burritos, burgers and sandwiches, it is a meat-lover’s delight. The desi
burritos (Rs 100 for the vegetarian, and 150 for the non-vegetarian), fish
n’chips (Rs 200) are the top selling items from this truck. Coming up next
are paranthas, keema kulchas and fried goodies. Apart from the meat
overload, there are fresh blueberry, mango and strawberry smoothies.

The kitschy name painted on a white and maroon truck is visible from afar.
But it’s the wafting smell of the Chilli Doggie Dog that is the sign of
recognition for this food truck. At Sector 32 or South City 2 in Gurgaon, feast
on their burgers, wraps or the hot, succulent keema pao. Their forte is clearly
their wraps. The price range is between Rs 80-140. Follow them here to keep

Kobri Food Truck, the brainchild of Flavour Labs, is an innovative venture
that gives its customers a taste of the South—-with a twist! The idliwiches,
or idli sandwiches and the dosa wraps are the signature dishes at Kobri. The
fillings are delicious; ranging from Paneer with assorted peppers in a mild
chettinaad sauce and topped with salad greens, to Spiced mutton kababs
served with salad greens and an apple and olive salsa. The price range is
between Rs. 140-180, just right for a quick and tasty afternoon grab! It is

Awestruck’s menu is just as awesome as its name. The peppy green truck in
Gurgaon has created quite a name for itself with its Italian menu comprising
of classic pastas like Carbonara, Primavera and Arrabiatta, all within the
price range of Rs 120-150. Also check out the quesadillas, salads and
shakes. You won’t stop gushing about its food. They also have plans to

The Lalit Food Truck Company

Mexican food is now easier to catch up with, thanks to The Lalit’s novel
venture into the food truck business. Currently, the truck is parked at two
locations, the Barakhamba on weekdays and the courtyard of DLF Mall,
Saket, on weekends. The simple menu is inspired by popular Mexican street
foods. You’ll love the Crispy Taco ( Rs 100), the Chicken Burger (Rs 130) and
the Churros, a sweet, fried pastry dusted with cinnamon sugar and served
with a drizzle of chocolate sauce ( Rs 100). With its focus on serving tasty
food in a hygienic, and eco-friendly way, is surely one of the highlights of The

Let’s end this on a sweet note. Frugurpop, the pink popsicle van dishing out
frozen goodies, is a must-have, especially with the onset of summer! Their
popsicles are made from frozen fruits, with no preservatives. Open the pack
to bite into a delicious mix of juice and fruits. The new flavours to beat the
summer heat are the Green apple Mint Tea, Pomegranate Raspberry and
Fruitlicious ( which has strawberries, blueberries, kiwis and peach). They are
