Headlines
It was great to see so many children enjoying the
scooterthon and 30 – 30 events at school today. Special
congratulations to all those who have completed the
first 5 of their 7 rides in 7 days, we look forward to
hearing news of your final leg of the challenge at the
Rock to Rocques on Sunday.
On Wednesday evening, it was a pleasure to welcome
the new Reception 2015 parents to Acorn House. The
excitement is already building for September. However,
before we rush too far ahead, it is important to enjoy
the many events that we still have to look forward to
this term. There will be letters coming via email and
school bags with details of sports days, excursions and
events for parents. We will endeavour to keep you fully
informed of all of them. Please check bags and emails

Bible Explorer
Congratulations to Year 6 for becoming successful Bible Explorers. They worked hard during a five week course in
the New Testament, led by Bible Explorer teachers, Roger Brooks and Bev Oldfield. They can now give an overview
of Jesus' life and teachings with the aid of 61 hand signals!
The presentation assembly on Thursday was entertaining, as the children acted out the parts of key New Testament
characters, supported by 6 able readers who led the narrative.
Roger says: "Thank you for giving us the opportunity of doing BX with Year 6. They were a super group and I really
do hope they will have got something out of the course. Your readers were particularly good."
Very well done, Year 6 - a superb achievement.
