Objectives and activities: The project, which involves 5 young people and
lasts 6 months, aims to promote social inclusion as main topic for the activities
that take place during the service and also as a parameter in the selection of
participants. It increases both awareness of being an European citizen and
democratic participation of young people, making them aware of the
importance of their role in society. The activities aim at the full development of
being active, informed and responsible citizens in an Europe that promotes
values such as social inclusion, cooperation, environmental sustainability and
the preservation of common goods. This awareness will be strengthened both
in the selected volunteers as well as in the public sector to which the initiatives
on the topic of European citizenship will be addressed.
