About the Job
Nebraska Center for Excellence in Electronics (NCEE Labs), a Lincoln, NE based company, is searching
for a General Manager. The General Manager is responsible for all operations of the NCEE Laboratory
and will provide vision and leadership to the organization to ensure growth and profitability. The General
Manager reports to the President of the NCEE Board of Directors.
Responsibilities
Oversight of Products and Services
 Supervise service and program development to meet or exceed well established standards for
electrical and environmental testing, internal auditing, certification and industry reporting
requirements.
 Ensure accurate documentation of service, quality control, safety and regulatory compliance
records.
Administrative, Financial Management and Reporting
 Direct, plan and implement policies and procedures, establish objectives for NCEE, assign or
delegate responsibilities to subordinates.
 Manage and coordinate organization’s financial and budgetary activities to fund operations,
maximize investments and increase efficiency.
Sales, Marketing and Business Development
 Direct and coordinate sales and marketing efforts including visiting existing and potential
customer sites to establish a business relationship.
 Attend trade shows and conferences and promote objectives of institution or business to
associations, government agencies or community groups.
Strategic Planning
 Develop short and long term strategic plans in accordance with the corporate charter and the
Board of Directors’ goals and objectives.
Project Management
 Manage mid and large size projects to ensure they meet goals, schedules and budgetary
requirements.
Day to Day Operation and HR Management
 Negotiate or approve contracts.
 Screen, select, hire, transfer, train and discharge employees, Conduct employee performance
evaluations and maintain appropriate records.
 Oversee and ensure good housekeeping procedures at site at all times.
Qualifications
 Technical Expertise – Extensive knowledge of and experience with product testing, inspection,
and certification solutions for both local and global requirements including CE, RoHS, Energy
Star, CSA, UL, FCC and MIL standard testing

Ability to create and maintain an ITAR compliant system for testing ITAR restricted product is
desirable.

A minimum of five years of experience and proven leadership skills in business management,
planning and financial oversight.
A minimum of five years of experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision,
evaluation and benefits administration.
Significant sales experience with a proven ability to generate new potential sales leads.
Experience in acquiring and analyzing market information for the purpose of formulating an
overall sales and marketing plan.











A minimum of three years of experience working with a board of directors and committees
preferred.
Direct experience working in an accredited test lab.
B.S. Degree or equivalent experience.
Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff team.
Effective problem solving, mediation and customer service skills.
Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations.
