– ARTISTIC RESIDENCIES CALL 2015 DEVELOPED FROM THE NATIONAL PROGRAM OF KNOWLEDGE INTERNACIONALIZACION 2013-­‐2015, VICE DEANSHIP OF RESEARCH AND EXTENSION, ARTS SCHOOL, NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF COLOMBIA. The Vice Deanship of Research and Extension and the CreationWorkshop Institute (Instituto Taller de Creación) ITC of the Arts Faculty, are pleased to present the platform of Artistic Residencies at the National University of Colombia (Residencias artísticas UN), which main objective is to promote the cultural interchange, strengthening of artistic projects and academic dialogue between artists, graduate students and faculty of the Arts School at the National University of Colombia and the international community. This platform seeks to diversify and strengthen the creation and academic reflection through the concept of artistic Residencies, based on the concept of cultural difference, contrast, mobility and to promote artistic spaces. The guidelines in this program are contained within the National Program for knowledge internationalization 2013-­‐2015 of the National University of Colombia. Modality I: International artists For international artists who want to develop an art project at the National University of Colombia Bogotá campus; who will interact with students and teachers from the hosting graduate programor a research and extension office; and its project has to have a relationship with the host country. REQUIREMENTS: •

Permanent residency outside Colombia. The artist residency at the UN should last up to 30 calendar days between August 3 and November 30, 2015. Has to demonstrate experience in the area of artistic creation (art portfolio and/or artistic projects finished or in course). Present a socialization plan which details the artist’s working process. Submit a spending plan, specifying the financial support requested from this call, the financial support of other institutions, if any, and own financing. This spending plan may include the following expenses: flight tickets, workshop (tools and – •

materials), accommodation, local transportation and the socialization plan expenses. Certification of current academic status (if the artist is studying currently) or a recommendation from a recognized institution. Images of your recent works (from the past three years, up to 15 images) with descriptive list up to 10 lines long, video files, portfolio or catalog, list of referenced publishing, certificates of participation in artistic projects in the pastthree years. FINANCIAL SUPPORT: According to your place of origin the program provides support up to: FROM: America Up to COP 7.732.200 Africa y Europe Up to COP 10.309.600 Asia and Oceania Up to COP 12.887.000 The financial support approved is intended for flight tickets, local transportation, and workshop expenses, and does not cover fees.The total amount will be given once the artist arrives in Bogotá, Colombia; no wire transfers or cash deposits are made in advance.The resident should be responsible for all expenses and budget management. Workspace management will be according to artistic discipline. Ability to work across the campus. Possibility of linking students to your different processes of creation. Academic support during the Residencies. Management support for the project’s final presentation. This could be done on different places, including the workshop itself, accordingto the circumstances. Event promotion through different media. COMMITMENTS: The artist shall prepare a conference during the Residencies. There will be a final presentation of the work and/or the work process. The artist agrees to present a visual memory or documentary of the artistic process during the Residencies. The artist must give proper credit to Artistic Residencies at the National University of Colombia, in all presentations and productions related to the project. •

SELECTION: The Artistic Residenciess at Universidad Nacional de Colombia will publish the results on its website and will send to each of the selected, an email with notification of selection on May 29, 2015.
