CLASSROOM CLIPBOARD
Breakfast on the Beach
Pre-K. Winnie’s Classroom. Last Sunday we celebrated Earth Day
and
God's creation of this earth by singing and dancing to a bit of guitar
music
and reading about God's creation of the earth. We planted a few bulbs
and
crafted a few of our own flowers with clay. This Sunday, Miss Patti
will
take us on an adventure with a story about Jesus having breakfast on the beach with his friends.
Breakfast on the Beach. Elementary Grades 1 – 5. Upstairs Blue Room
Did you know that this week is the 45th Anniversary of Earth Day? Our elementary-aged
Sunday Schoolers learned all about the founding of Earth Day in 1970, and it's purpose. They
worked hard and did a great job caring for Creation by sprucing up the flower bed right outside
the office door at FBC. They decorated fish cookies for their snack afterward...yum! This
Sunday we're meeting at the church to carpool to Elkins Beach on Pleasant Lake for the
culminating activity of our unit. The ice is out on the lake just in time for us to cook our own
Breakfast on the Beach and share a meal just like Jesus and the disciples did. Come hungry and
ready for a crazy culminating culinary experience!
Grapple with Faith Grades 6 & 7 Upper Youth Room
OFF THE GROUNDS Grades 8-12 Class will not meet today.
Coffee with Seekers Adult Class Downstairs Activity Room
Lately we have been studying the parables of Jesus. This week we will examine what the Parable
of the Talents might mean for us in our daily lives. In preparation for class, please consider the
following quote from the Rev. John Bedingfield:“God does not want complacency. God wants
faith. And faith always means taking chances. Grab a cup of coffee and join us downstairs for a
lively discussion.
Ladies’ Class Upstairs BWF Room
Book study and discussion: Your Beautiful Purpose by Susie Larson. No need to have read the
chapter. Please join us!
For further information on these classes or ways you can become involved please contact Pastor
Cindy or the church office.
