Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
Throughout Europe, please be aware that ongoing restoration work is being carried out in many of the towns, cities and venues visited which is
beyond the control of Royal Caribbean International.
Due to the high volume of visitors and to help preserve the historic towns and centers, many cities have strict parking regulations. This may
involve extensive walking from the bus parking lot to the various venues and sights visited. During the peak summer months you may encounter
large crowds in each city or venue. Due to this reason, local guides may decide to alter the tour itinerary and the order in which it is
accomplished. It may not be possible to visit all sites listed and there may be long lines (queues) to enter the popular venues. This is beyond the
control of the local tour operator or Royal Caribbean International.
Guides will no longer be allowed to provide group commentary inside St. Peter's Basilica without the use of electronic units due to mandated
regulations. Therefore, the guide(s) will give an explanation or description while outside the venue and guests will enter the Basilica individually
for a designated amount of time.
Please be aware that at certain times there may be a mass taking place in St. Peter’
s Basilica, without previous notice. In the majority of cases,
the guide(s) will give an explanation or description from the outside and guests will be allowed to enter the Basilica individually. Depending upon
the number of people in the Basilica, it may be closed for security reasons. These safety precautions are beyond the control of the local tour
operator or Royal Caribbean International.
During the months of October through June, most major shops are closed on holidays, Sunday and Monday mornings and daily from 1:00 pm
until 4:00 pm. During the months of July through September, major shops are closed on holidays, Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and daily
from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
The drive between Civitavecchia and Rome is approximately 90 minutes each way, subject to traffic conditions. Transportation has been obtained
for the journey; however, the vehicle’
s air-conditioning system may not be to North American standards. Comfortable walking shoes are
recommended for every shore excursion.
For a select shore excursion to be provided in another language (i.e. Spanish, French, German and/or Italian), the required minimum of 25 guests
must be met. Please contact the Shore Excursion office directly on board the vessel for further details.

Please contact the Shore Excursion office directly on board the vessel for further details.

local guide, many destinations also have private transportations for customized tours. Please check the tour description for
amenities such as food, drinks and entrance fees. If you decide to leave or deviate from the tour at any time, you will be responsible
for the cost to get back on board the ship including any other unrelated expenses. You will not receive a refund for any services
that are not utilized.
Children
All guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult on all tours. Children’
s pricing is available on many tours for
guest ages 4-12. Children ages 3 and under are free.
Gratuity
Tour pricing does not include gratuity unless specified. Extending a gratuity to your guide and/or driver is strictly optional; however
in some countries, your guide may anticipate that if you are pleased with their services, you will reward them in a monetary
fashion. Generally, an appropriate tip would be $4-$6 USD per person for a half day tour and $10-$15 USD per person for a full day
tour.
Currency
For your convenience, currency exchange rates are updated periodically so you can calculate pricing. The purchase of an excursion
is charged in the same currency you paid for your cruise. Online cancellations will be returned to the credit card used and onboard
refunds will be returned to your SeaPass® account in USD.
Price Changes
Prices can change at any time and can vary by sail date and cruise. The prices in this brochure are valid for the sail date and cruise

not refund cancellations as a result of any delays.

Attire
When deciding what to wear, we suggest you check the weather in the area you are visiting and look for the dress code icon in the
tour description regarding appropriate dress code. If you have additional questions, please visit the Shore Excursions Desk onboard
your ship.
Shopping
Many tours allow time for guests to shop or explore independently; however that time is limited and can be modified as needed
during the tour. Please review the tour description and/or visit the Shore Excursions desk, onboard your ship, for timing on
independent shopping and exploration.
Tour Transportation
Please keep in mind that transportation varies throughout the world. Vehicles used for shore excursions may not have air
conditioning, restroom facilities and/or seat belts/restraints. For the comfort of all guests, smoking is not allowed on any vehicles
used during shore excursions.
Transportation at Ports
Because several ports are not located in the city center, we arrange a shuttle bus service for a fee in those ports. Guests can also
utilize the local services. A list of these specific ports can be found onboard.
Promptness
It is essential that ALL guests be back onboard no later than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. This information is
posted daily at the gangway. Although shore excursions meet these schedule requirements, even if you are not on a tour, you are
also responsible for being back onboard the ship on time. If for any reason a tour is delayed, the shipboard management team will
await the tour’
s return. However, guests on tours with vendors not advertised through Royal Caribbean International are responsible
for ensuring their return to the ship on time as it will not wait for them, despite any delays.

Royal Caribbean International offers shore excursions for guest convenience and peace of mind. Although we have carefully selected
the finest excursions at each port, services are provided by independent tour operators. Royal Caribbean International will not be
responsible or liable for any loss, damage, injury, costs, or delays resulting from or in conjunction with your use of these services.
Royal Caribbean International acts only as the agent of the supplier of these services and does so on the sole condition that no
